cuba's great hospitals and facilities(warning there are a few graphic images, 16 or over)

Whether or not the original poster is one of the two American dichotomies, he makes a very valid point that Cuba's system of health is poor at best. Of course, one could blame it on a poor economy.

Do you know anything of the date or author of those photos? How do you know they were not taken in Brazil?

Frankly, it is astonishing that Cuba did not experience a massive humanitarian crisis in the 90's. Probably, no other country could have adapted so suddenly to a cessation of aid, trade and petroleum. Imagine, overnight, having to feed a population without tractors and fertilizers. Imagine what THAT level of poverty would do to the health care system. I assume that Cubans have been saved from economic strangulation by Chavez at this point.

Its also amazing that Cubans maintain longer life expectancies than Americans. Their healthcare system must be doing something right.
