A great deal has been made over the last 20 years to make whites aware that blacks served in the revolutionary war. In fact, one PC media work "Revolutionary Kids", a cartoon show giving the history of the revolution, makes it appear about a quarter of the troops under washington were black. This is typical of the lib media obsession with promoting blacks.

Blacks DID serve under washington, but there's the other side of the story, usually either missing or soft-peddled in lib historical accounts. Blacks also served with the enemy, including 800 who served under The Royal Governor of Virginia, Lord Dunmore, in the "Ethiopian Regiment". Blacks were also fighting with Lord Cornwallis at Yorktown. When food ran short during the seige, the Brits forced the blacks out into no-mans land.

Your title is wrong. You are giving PC history. Your facts show that "Blacks" were not idle by-standers but participants.

I am showing, lib media out-of-control negrophilism notwithstanding, that blacks served the enemy as well as the American cause.

amazingly enough quite a lot of the enemy also served with the enemy. That sentence stands up which ever side you consider as the enemy.

If you were trying to show a degree of negrophilism in the media you missed.

All you've shown is participation of "Blacks" in History. You should write something for the "Black History" people, but maybe not, you'll end up being called a promoter of negrophilism and a liberal.

Blacks were wise to serve under the British. They were freed under the Brit's leadership. No Colonialist leader ever suggested that, after their war for independence, blacks would be made free.

Jake point is they push the roles of blacks who served in one side to a degree beyond merit. For the most part he is right.

You might note they don't make near the effort to educate people about the Black Confederate Soldiers--doesn't fit the PC crap-- so they are in effect intentionally ignored.

Did you miss the part where the Brits freed any black, male of female, who served with the Royal forces against the Colonists?

Blacks were abandoned at yorktown by the british - got a reading problem? And those humane brits carted the poor blacks back with them to dear ol' england? - don't think so.

My point is to puncture a little of the over-inflated lib pseudo history regarding blacks, of which you will not have been aware. More and more, libs are politicizing and distorting american history.
