Armed Resistance to the Holocaust

Contrary to myth of Jewish passivity, many Jews did fight back during the Holocaust. They shut down the extermination camp at Sobibor, rose up in the Warsaw Ghetto, and fought in the woods and swamps all over Eastern Europe. Indeed, Jews resisted at a higher rate than did any other population under Nazi rule. The experience of the Holocaust shows why Jews, and all people of good will, should support the right of potential genocide victims to possess defensive arms, and refutes the notion that violence is necessarily immoral.

This Article examines the record of violent Jewish resistance to the Holocaust. It suggests that Jewish resistance was extensive, and succeeded in saving many lives. The record also explains that a key impediment to even more effective resistance was the lack of firearms, as well as Jewish unfamiliarity with arms during the pre-war years. The article dispels the myth of Jewish passivity during the Holocaust, and the myth that courageous civilians with firearms are helpless against a powerful, genocidal tyranny.

I still don't see how Billary is any worse than Bushie.... to me they're one and the same concept, but others seem to think that they're "different" somehow - to me, they're both a bunch of miserable freakin' statists and neither one of 'em understands the Constitution, so.....

Same sh**, different day. Nothing really changes. In fact, nothing's changed in like ten thousand years. Some people want money, and some people want power, and all I want is a family and a place to call my own, and if I could just get those miscreant freakin' statists to leave me alone everything would be just fine.

Hillary and Bush are both collectivist statists. Hillary may seek greater collectivism, but Bush's actions, such as incurring more and more debt, increasing government spending every year, increasing the size of government every year, adding new entitlement programs - guarantee a more powerful welfare state and basically validate everything the left is trying to do in this country.

Both Republicans and Democrats cause damage to this country. The only difference between them is the speed at which they accomplish their goals. I submit that voting for someone because they do a bad thing slower than someone else, is highly irrational.

It's like saying "Hey Bob only murdered 50 people this year, so I'll support him over Randy, because Randy murdered 100 people this year."

No one should be supporting either Bob or Randy. Both Bob and Randy should be rotting in jail.

And so should the Bush's and the Clinton's - for the damage they've done to this country...

It's like, anytime anyone mentions Bushie's name, the conversation kinda falls right into that rut ....

I heard a quote once...it might have had something to do with militias...it's by one of the Founding Fathers...it has to do with defending yourself against the government...If anyone has the exact wording could you please tell me?

I remember watching this one movie...forgot the title...it was about Hungarian Jews working for the guards at the camps...moving other Jews into the gas chambers and then burning the bodies...But I remember near the end they revolted and were almost successful...Just the article reminded me of that...I think I used to many ellipses....

Some Jews were hired to "police" the other Jews. There are some scenes similar to what you describe in the movie "The Pianist."
