he is the reason why so much hate is occurring in south africa.

this whole black liberation was a bad thing that happened. they were not ready to assume power and are now taking it out on the whites who live there. south africa is declining as a country because of this.

Well recently he has been calling Bush a racist while praising dictatorships like Cuba and Libya and he said Bush was bringing a holocaust on the world while saying nothing of Mugabe's Zimbabwe or the other African genocide states.

Basically he stood up for what he believed in, in a society where blacks were being suppressed and for that alone he should be admired. I accept for most of the time he was in prison he was nothing more than a symbol for the black people but did he not inspire the blacks to fight the apartheid?

Such resistence to the apartheid caused Portugal to withdraw from Angola and Mozambique in 1974 before Soputh African troops were forced to withdraw from Angola in 1976.

While De Kler may have brought the regime to an end in the 90's it was only becasue he had no other choice. South Africa's economy was in ruins at this stage because the blacks (which were still the largest sector of socety) weren't being given the chance to contribute to society or the economy.
