There was not one greatest. Most presidents have great things that they have done and most have horrible things that they have done. Usually where one party is strong the other party is weak, and that's why partisan politics will never get things 100% accomplished. Usually they will bicker amongst each other and not solve any problems.

I have a question on this list....Why is Ronald Reagan winning lol??

I personally think that Reagan was a GREAT president. I would easily rank him in the top 10 of all time and probably closer to #5.

But are people just voting for him because he was the best of modern times? Or is it to (*)(*)(*)(*) off the Democrats?? lol.

Reagan was great....But he was no Washington or Lincoln. I would rank Roosevelt and Jefferson ahead of him as well.

So honestly I would rank him #5 of all time.

Thats not a knock on him, I actually think we have had some AWESOME presidents in our nations history. Alot more awful ones, but still I think some of the worlds greatest leaders of all time come from the United States of America.

Im not telling anyone else how to vote, im just trying to get a debate going and trying to get some info on why people voted Reagan ahead of some of these others.

Same thing goes for those who voted Clinton...I also was a big Clinton fan, but despite the great economy for maybe 5 years of his term what else did he do that truly seperated him as an all time great.

I would put Clinton in the top 20...maybe even top 15 based on his awesome Economy, but cant justify him being top 10.

Would love to hear some reasons though from those who voted for him.

I think I have to go with James Madison. Lincoln, Jefferson, and FDR a close 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

George Bush.

He destroyed those weapons of mass destruction, and he killed the terrorists. Not to mention and overwhelming victory for the U.S. in Iraq.

He also would be invading Iran if it weren't for those stupid Liberals, the terrorists need to be exterminated... liberals are working with the terrorists...

On a serious note, I like T. Roosevelt and Lincoln equally. None of them even come close with Tony Blair as my idol though. I appreciate a great speaker, which is silly of me.

Theodore Roosevelt was sooo much better than Ronald Reagan. Roosevelt was the truest Republican there will ever be. And his teeth!

Woodrow Wilson was the best President... up until 1918-1919 and his refusal to budge on the League of Nations

Polk was also pretty successful in accomplishing what he wanted to get done in office, if you want to count that as "greatness".
