On July 4th, the big hit, at least here in Boston, was the 1812 overture. Everybody went crazy for it. It was the big number. Why has this tune become so popular in Americans' minds? It has nothing to do with the United States whatsoever.
Just curious. |

And I apologize for my spelling error, but hey, what do you expect? I'm an American, too. BTW, maybe this is the wrong place for this, but three flavors of ice cream in one box- pure genius! Who thought that up anyway?

but this reminds me of the scene from the Simpsons when Homer runs to the freezer and pulls out a box of neapolitan ice cream.
"Mmmm, chocolate." Yet as he opens the box, he finds all the chocolate has been eaten. "Doh!" He proceeds to open two more boxes with the same result before finally yelling, "Marge, we need more neapolitan ice cream!" Laugh everytime!

The only winner of the War of 1812 was Chuck Kowski.
