Default Human Rights?

What is our human rights here in America? Do we even have any? We can no longer talk on the phone with out someone else recording everything that is being said. So what rights do we have on anything? Anything we do we are guilty. The only one that has any rights is the president himself. He can make up the rights and break any of them that he chooses and nothing gets done about it.

Now i have a feeling that America went too far....Many "American style" democracies(if there's such a thing) are spying on suspects in order to protect you! If you aren't doing anything to harm America, their not spying on you........Like i can see,you can very well say what ever you'd like about the Bush adminstration......If it's dangerous it should be stopped.....Ithink and i hope that my country does what ever it takes.

Default ok

we are in a war that we should not be in. we are somplace that we should not be at. the only thing that is happening is our soldiers keep getting killed and they keep sending more soldiers over there. most soldiers that are over there that have been killed are being killed by car bombs. as for the phone tapping I am not 100% sure but i dont think they have even heard anything involving terrorist acts and now that it is all public about the phone tapping do you realy think that anyone is going to pick up the phone and and if they are ready for the attack? they will find another wayto relay messages.next i would not be surprised if the president dont say that all e-mail must go through him hiself. they will always be one step ahead on us.

Default ...

You're getting human rights mixed up with civil liberties, ice. I know, civil liberties are a part of human rights but by saying something like "Do we even have human rights in the US?" you sound really whiny. Human rights are generally more like the ability to believe what you want without being thrown in a nasty prison or crushed by a tank. That's generally what people have in mind. Being listened in on is a violation of civil liberties perhaps, but it's certainly not being crushed by a tank. Just trying to put things in perspective. Perhaps you should try posting something like this in the civil liberties forum above. Actually there are already about a hundred threads on this topic you could post in. Just trying to help.

Rather than violation of civil liberties, I'd call it diplomatic crushing by tank.
