Default It is common knowledge that...

It is common knowledge that the United States has always given priority to the observance of human rights. As a result of it for many years it has supported the high credibility of the American model of democracy in the world and forced others to be very deferential to activity of various US NGOs, aimed at “establishing and developing democracy and freedom all over the world”.
But the latest decision of present US administration, concerned to putting all US NGOs under strict and direct control of US special services, testifies that US democracy continues to degenerate into authoritarian regime. It leads to losing US own impeccability and versatility in the field of observance of main human rights and freedoms.
Thus, I have to agree with such leading HRW organization as “International Amnesty”, who considers that USA has not only lost its right to be a leader in the field of human rights, but also given an example of permissiveness to other countries in the world, violating constantly law of other nations.
How can USA peddle “democratic standards” to others if it dares to control own NGOs with the aim of detecting organizations, criticized present US administration, and persecuting their leads for beliefs, as it was in the case of such leading Afro-American NGO as National Association for Progress of the Colored?...

You certainly do love your obscure acronyms, don't you?

You don't happen to have any links or proof of what you say, wouldja? I mean, without them, what you say is just a bunch of hooey.

I think what you may be talking about is that NGO's are in effect almost trying to conduct a private foreign policy, illegal under the Logan Act (democratically passed by the U.S. congress), but one can't be sure unless you give more information about what you're referring to.
