Depends on the circumstances for me.
There need to be restrictions in place so we are not killing off anyone we just don't want around. Terminally ill people - if they want to end their lives, let them. Everyone should have the right to die with dignity and without pain. Critically ill people - will they recover, is the big question. If the prognosis for them is not good, then they can make a decision to end their lives. Severely disabled people - depends on the circumstances. How disabled are they? For me, quality of life is most important. If someone does not feel they have a good quality of life and wish to take their life, I see no problem. Involuntary euthanasia - is when someone cannot give consent and someone makes the decision for them. Depends on the disability and whether they would recover, and what prognosis they have for their long term future. So those are my opinions, if I have missed anything, let me know.

I believe that euthanasia is only advisable in cases in which a legally competent subject for euthanasia has given prior consent, or in which a subject gave such consent at a time in which he was legally competent.

I support it. Euthanasia comes under the right to life. As silly as it sounds. Life and death walk hand in hand we all get to live and we all get to croak. If your sick and there is no cure its your right to choose how you leave.

I have a living will, it states that on my request no medical intervention may be given, and that monies in my estate should be used to transport me to a clinic in europe that will help me die with peace and dignity.
My father of 92yrs died last year in hospital an atheist, he refused any form of medical intervention. His last words to me were, "please Steve make them let me die in peace" He wanted to die 1 yr earlier but I was to weak to carry to carry out his wishes.
