This stuff you talk about, turning adult stem cells into pluripotential cells, that's all well and good. That's something that MIGHT be used to save lives... a couple decades from now.

They can use embryonic stem cells TODAY.
They already can use adult stem cells. To use embryonic stem cells to cure diseases, they would need a reliable and bountiful supply of dead embryos, a supply of which we shouldn't make. However, my only stance on the issue has been that it isn't one since we don't need them anymore. I never spoke for one side versus the other, we can use adult cells just as well and a supply of them is a lot more reliable. So stop trying to blame the world's problems on religion.

All avenues of stem cell research, including embryonic, have the potential of saving lives. The moral objections of some should not prevent this research from continuing.

We should be doing everything possible to increase the quality of life for those disabled or infirmed by illness. To not use embryonic stem cells to help is foolish at best. Especially when they are available.
