Yes he does, Mr. Tate. You shouldn't be confused. He has made his stance quite clear.

He meant that you should be able to do whatever you wanted with your own body and furthermore, that you should take responsibility for what you did with it and not expect to be bailed out just because your life choices produced an unpleasant result.

I don't smoke but I am pro-freedom. I believe people have a right to do with themselves what they choose as long as it isn't hurting someone else. So I do support bans in public indoor areas, but not an overall ban.

I think Dennis Leary said it best:"If you stop smoking now you will add years onto your life. But they are the years at the end, the nursing home, pissing on yourself, alzheimer years. We don't want those years."

No, they should pay for their own healthcare bills and they shouldn't rely on the government or society to bail them out. It was their fault, after all.

And, it was not what you wanted to hear. It was what you wanted to say.

Haha, right there I guess. I agree with his opinion. If smokers insist on smoking, they should pay for their own mistakes.

My belief is that it should be illegal to make your product physically addictive. Cigarettes should not be illegal, nicotine should be.

We see before us a huge community of producers the members of which are unceasingly striving to deprive each other of the fruits of their collective labour...I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate these grave evils, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy, accompanied by an educational system which would be oriented toward social goals.

I think there should be increased taxes on cigarettes to cover health problems. But I don't think cigarettes should be illegal otherwise they would be like alcohol was during prohibition (prohibition didn't work very well). It should be illegal to smoke inside homes, buildings, and cars to prevent fires and fuel tank explosions.
