i will never understand why people get so passionate about something that doesn't effect them. if you don't like smoking, you don't have to smoke. why do you feel you have the right to stop others from doing something they enjoy that doesn't effect you?

Smoking does affect other people, or haven't you heard of passive smoking?

No one forces people to be around smokers, but at the same time, if someone really wanted to be completely away from cigarette smoke, they'd practically have to lock themselves inside their homes, and obviously, that isn't an option.

The best option, really, is simply to ban cigarettes full stop.

It varies by state. In California, they're banned from all public restaraunts. I don't actually know what the law is in my state, I think they might have to have sealed smoking rooms.

Actually (and I do not know about all the states in the US). But it is pretty much that way for the smokers.

You can not honestly tell me that there are more smoking zones than smoke free. You have to hunt for a place to smoke anymore. Do not try to play the part of the victim. By the admission of someone Chief, they are banned from bars down there.
