No but smoking should be confined to certain places.

Like smoking and non smoking areas? We had those here and they never worked. I have heard they work in the US though probably because of the design.

I would still go out, but not as much because of the bad health effects of smoking.

I agree here, I think that the owner of a business should get to decide whether or not to allow smoking in his own venue. Why not let the guy that pays the bills make the decision..

I agree, but don't forget who enabled the owner to pay the bills...the customers. Apparently, The People have spoken loudly enough to enact smoking regulations, whether they are right or wrong.

I also remember how so many ignored the cry babies thinking that their sniveling wasn't going to accomplish anything ...

That's the problem - the people who complain are tuned out by those who have more important things to consider and accomplish in life ...

Anti smokers need to get a life instead of crying and that and the multitude of issues they are ALSO crying about .... like national health care, no rights for a fetus, no high powered weapons, and so much more ,,,

Freedom of choice; you too can do whatever you please as long as you accept the consequences.

Get drunk
Light up
Have a gang bang
Jump motorcycles 100s of feet in the air
Drive a SUV
Drive a Tank
Jump out of a airplane without a parachute trying to fly
Speed / Speeding

We all have choices and they all reap a consequence potentially.

Accept reality and know that. Welcome to the Adult World where there is freedom with consequence.

You can never forget your customers, but what if your customers are smokers? You've abandoned their wants and needs by not allowing smoking in your venue, lets get real who goes into a bar with anything healthy in mind? A business owner should be the person who decides what to allow in their business not the government.
