Won't happen. This is why hunting limits are set and why the proceeds from hunting and fishing licenses are dedicated to the Wildlife Preservation. If you are really concerned about preserving wildlife, buy a permit. You don't have to use it.

How do you feel about eating roasted rat meat? There is a politician in India that is pushing for this idea (not rats in the gutter, but rats raised in captivity). Maybe they would taste good.

Why do you differentiate between a Thumper and Mickey Mouse? Are you prejudiced against rodents? You start off declaring all meat off limits, then move to domestic meat okay, wild meat not and now you changing again?

It would be a start in the right direction when one try to reduce their meat consumption down to 1 or 2 per weak.

It would be good for concervation and your health, if you consumed less meat and more veggies and fruit.

A bad assumption. Just because we would try another type of meat does not mean we would stop eating those we already know and love.

If you knew anything about conservation,you would know that hunting practices and in particular the timing of hunting seasons are conservation.
Otherwise, a lot of the animals would starve, become diseased and spread that disease to humans in some cases, and generally become detriments to their own species.
But you knew that, didn't you?

With a reduction in the population of natural predators humans have to step in. A predator is a predator, it might as well be us rather than a wolf, and if there weren't any predators then the deer would wreak havoc on the environment.
