I see the libertarians more as Michael Scott (from "The Office") types. They actually see themselves as a the good guys, but they have this rather odd view of reality, one very centered on themselves, so they tend to leave a trail of disasters behind them. Which are never their fault.
And yes, obviously Dwight Schrute is the conservative, though he's more usually more sensible than the conservatives you find here.
