So Bush gets special treatment from the national guard. Wow a rich kid getting special treatment, that's new, and it's probably true.
Are you trying to say Kerry didn't get any special treatment? Vietnam vets have had entire limbs blown off while saving the lives of their fellow soldiers and didn't receive a single purple heart. My dad was shot down behind enemy lines in vietnam, was wounded, and together with the navigation pilot they walked back to an area where they could be rescued, which took more than 2 days. He received no purple heart for his effort, though he qualified greatly by assisting his friend who was more heavily wounded to get back safely. Kerry, less than 24 hours in vietnam, gets a purple heart, and loses zero time from his 'wound'. He has been asked numerous times to tell the media the specifics of what his wounds were, he declines. He has been asked numerous times to release his medical documents from that time, he declines. He racked up 2 more purple hearts within 4 months. Once a soldier gets to 3 purple hearts, they get a free ticket home. The paperwork states that 4 days after he got his 'wound' and his third purple heart, Kerry was on a helicpoter back to the navy ship thanks to a technicality. He eventually got to a desk job for the Admiral. Yes, not a swab the deck job, but eventually working as an assistant to the Admiral. He also was allowed to leave his post 6 months early to run for office. He did not wait a single moment to get the hell out of vietnam once he had the chance, and how he got his chance is extremely suspicious to me. Did he really deserve a single purple heart? Many who did not receive one had much greater wounds and actually saved other soldiers from their own death, and they have facts that were reviewed and medical records to prove it. Bob Dole nearly loses his life aiding a wounded friend while fighting Nazis in Italy, loses the use of his right arm and hand for life, and has one purple heart to show for it. Kerry has 3 and won't even tell us why he deserves them? Does this sound like special treatment to you? It does to me. Is it ok to overlook Kerry's special treatment? When Kerry led an anti-war rally on the white house front lawn, he encouraged people to protest by throwing their medals over the fence into the white house lawn, which several people did. Did Kerry toss his medals? Of course not. http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles...e.asp?ID=12386 http://oregonmag.com/KerryMedals.htm http://www.snopes.com/politics/kerry/service.asp http://www.ussyorktown.com/yorktown/kerry.htm http://www.washtimes.com/national/20...5623-9539r.htm |
