Don't see a good reason for guns in and around the school. Ever. In 1958 or now.

bwahahahahahhaha. Can tell you haven't been in a school for a while. There are weekly fist fights in my son's school. No one ever gets more than an ISS (in-school suspension). SWAT is never called out for these types of scenarios.

I'm guessing that you've never taken ritalin. I have ADD, and have. Ritalin is a stimulant. If Jeffrey doesn't have ADD, he will be bouncing off the walls like a monkey. If he does have ADD, he will actually be able to sit still and focus for more than 10 seconds. Paddling doesn't work well on ADD. It never helped my brother or I pay attention. Drugs do.

Spanking is legal in all 50 states if it does not leave a bruise or break the skin, and is delivered on the buttocks and/or thighs. It's good to know the law.

At my daughter's school, no fewer than 5 of her middle school friends have OD'd. Others come to school high. Exactly how do you suggest the schools deal with these scenarios short of becoming drug detectives? IS it the job of the principal to distinguish whether your child is taking mega doses of antihistamines with your permission, or to get high? One of my daughter's friends almost died from an OD of skittles, btw (skittles = nickname for antihistamines).

Under no child left behind, social promotion has been forbidden in most places. Pedro will be forced to retake English and/or take summer school. However, once Pedro turns 16, he can legally drop out of school, with or without the requisite english skills.
