Have you noticed its a bit hard for Letterman, Leno & Co. to get a good Obama joke in? We wrote about this topic as a reaction to a recent NY Times article. Would love your feedback, thx!

Its because he's black. In the back of every single americans mind whatever skin colour or party your going for whenever people look at obama they end up thinking 'Hey its Obama the black guy'. You can't blame people the countries being split apart by racism. And having a black candidate (and maybe a black president) seems like a great way to show of how much everybodys changed in the U.S. But voting for a guy while thinking in the back of your mind 'yes see world im not a racist!' is not good for anything. ESPECIALLY ending racial tensions in the country. You can't even call the guy an idiot in front of an audience. Even if the joke is really funny the audience will freeze silent while in everyones heads their thinking 'Was that racist? it didn't sound like it but it might be! oww god! if i laugh well blow the lid and go back to the days of lynchings and clansmen!!! ahhhh!!!!' Its not good at all. And protecting Obama like hes a walking God only reinforces how long the country still has to go.

Well I read your articles, and all I can say about the jokes you guys made is!! Maybe it is impossible to make fun of obama, or more likely it takes a far greater wit than apparently exists at the NY Herald to do so.

I will make an attempt at some good right-wing Obama jokes!! Let's see how they turn out.

There's plenty of material there. It's just that in a rush to appear more politically correct than the next guy, no one wants to take a stab at it for fear that a flopped joke may turn out appearing racist.

But there are ways around that.

If one were to focus on the things about his personality -- his caution with words, his tendency to be grandiose, there's material ripe for the picking.

What does Barack Obama have to do with "socialism"?

I remember watching the Daily Show a week or two ago and he made fun of Obama and the crowd booed him.

He is a socialist and deals in socializing which has to do with socialism. Were you here for the huge 'Obamas a socialist!' period we had going on? it was lots of fun.
