Okay, so exactly who owned the land before Israel? Did Iran or Syria own the land? Jews lived there as long as anyone else.

 

Israel was always a vassal state of some foreign power in the Syrian province of Palestine.

And, even in the ancient Bible stories all manner of people lived there including Canaanites, Arabs, Greeks.. Gentiles and Goyim.

So you deny that Israel had intelligence and material support from the USA in the 1967 conflict? And you deny that Israel is the major recipient of foreign aid from the USA? And you deny that AIPAC is one of the most influential lobbies in Washington? The US will be involved, one way or another, if there is war between Israel and Iran.

Might I remind you that an Israeli is not in a strong position from which to criticise the morality of other societies (the IDF and Palestinian children spring to mind), and if it were not for the Balfour Declaration (flawed as it might have been,) there would be no Israel today, so I would be careful about remarks such as 'your spineless useless has-been of a country'. And as for your paranoia about Iran posing an existential threat to Israel, I suspect that is just further capitalising on 'the Shoah' variety of emotional blackmail. People other than the Jews of Europe have suffered, and the sooner Israelis such as yourself recognise this - the sooner they will be accepted as reasonable human beings.

IMPO, we won't have a choice and Israel knows that. If they can't persuade Obama to do it FOR them, they'll provoke a situation where we'll HAVE to be involved whether we want to or not. Big brave Israel will set fire to the entire ME and go back home and watch us fight a war they started while whining about being "victims".

They bombed nuclear facilities in Iraq and Syria - knowing they weren't able to retaliate. They can't be stupid enough to think they can do the same to Iran and there will be no reprisals.

 

Why would Israel tell their enemies their plans? This administration is the enemy of all of our allies.

 

Israel considers the U.S. her enemy? Then they should refuse the foreign aid we give them, stop using our munitions to attack other countries and move their "dual citizens" to Israel and out of our government. And they can take AIPAC with them.

If they attack Iran, they should be prepared to defend themselves against Iran and most of the ME without our help. NO AMERICAN should be forced to die in a stupid war Israel starts - expecting their "enemy" to help them out whether we want to go to war or not.

 

Every US president since Truman has hated Israel.... because Israel is a freeloader that consistently works against US interests.

Seems a lot of people think the U.S. will even have the option of whether or not to stay out of it.

We may not. Iran may likely attack U.S. bases and other targets in response to an Israeli attack, which would bring the U.S. in.

Ideally, Israel would win and essentially do our work for us without us having to become directly involved.

If things are not so one-sided however, then the U.S. and other allies will be inclined to act...the West cannot afford an Israeli defeat.


Lot of variables. How Iran responds. How other countries in the ME respond. How Russia and China respond. Quite the mess.
