I think that your authors don't know the elements that drive gas prices... I find that on PF.. most prefer to forget certain facts..

The elements that drive gas prices aren't the topic. The topic is the Obama administration's desire for high gas prices.

Your attempt to hijack this thread is officially rejected.

What we know is that Obama prefers high gas prices for American consumers.

Re-elect him and you may be walking or riding the bus instead of driving your car.

I had no idea that you were "official" in any way, ace.......

The mechanics are that domestic production is expanding BECAUSE the ppb remains high.. that means our IMPORTS are decreasing.

Obama knows that even if YOU don't.

Wishful thinking won't change the mechanics of the oil business, nor will tantrums..

    Time to get real.

Obama's strategy will not bring down the price at the pump... nor will any other strategy.

Smart money is on expanding domestic production and creating jobs in the oil sector.

Yes, time to get real and understand that Barack Obama and his thugs want higher gas prices.

Huh? You think the president of the United States can't influence gas prices?

Wow, I knew you weren't very informed, but you've really stepped that up with that statement.

He absolutely can't.. He has NO control over the cost of Exploration and extraction in the US.... nor anywhere in the world.

How many ways do you have to hear the facts, before you can string them together??

The best direct evidence of Obama admin's lack of concern and compassion for the average American working man and families? Everyday.

Yes, indirectly though domestic energy policy and foreign policy. The Obama domestic foreign policy is a disaster. He is purposefully limiting domestic oil production and his green energy project have become a swindle. His weakness and apologist attitude has lead to the current surge of the Muslim Brotherhood. The man is simply a disaster for Americans who have to face higher gas prices and the higher prices that come with it.

Bush lifted the ban on offshore oil drilling in 2008.

Yes, the president of the United States can absolutely influence the cost of gas at the pump. He can implement foreign policy that disrupts supplies or causes fear of disruption. He can start a war in Libya to help his buddies get an oil deal. He can sign gasoline taxes into law. That's just a few of who knows how many examples of ways presidents can and have influenced prices at the pump.

While I can appreciate your attempt to move the bar, babbling about the cost of extraction, my assertion is true and remains intact- despite your desperate attempts to move the goal post.

Furthermore, a president can indeed influence the cost of extraction. He can do so via regulations.

Nice try, but you've been foiled once again. I even debunked your rant about him not influencing the cost of extraction.

You're batting .000 so far. Feel free to keep trying, I can slap you around on this all day long if you so desire.
