In most religious texts, women, like in a Steven Segal film, are only really used in their capacity as love interests of the main (always MALE) characters.

 

At the heart of the problem is religion's illogical insane belief in the scientifically unproven concept of a "soul", as such. As such, the "soul", as they call it, is not proven at all. Religions teach that a zygote (just a few cells is all) has this "soul", so looking at their religious text they interpret that taking a morning-after pill is worse than, say, killing a full-grown homosexual. Insane!

I'm not PARTICULARLY pro-choice, but if we do remove the crazy RELIGIOUS component to the debate, it becomes more logical and intelligent, of course. So the best answer is probably something like "you can abort 6 HOURS after conception, but not 6 MONTHS - or whenever a baby could survive on it's own"....or something.
