    Do you ever think maybe these impoverished cities are "left-wing" BECAUSE they are impoverished and not impoverished because they are "left-wing"? If I was dirt poor living off Govt assistance I definitely wouldn't vote Republican. But what would Republican's do to solve this problem? How would taking out welfare, healthcare, public assistance, etc... turn Detroit in to a "right-wing" city?

    You don't know your history very well do you.

    Detroit was at one time in American history one of the top 5 wealthiest and best to live places in America.

    Detroit is in the state it's in BECAUSE of leftist policies.

    I didn't start this topic to debate this, because there's nothing to debate. The fact of the matter is Detroit is the worlds biggest ghetto because of leftist policies. I started this topic to show everyone who's not liberal why they are not liberal. And that is because liberalism is a proven failure by the perfect example of detroit.

    Karl Marx is not a "root" of socialism, as socialism existed at least two hundred years before he was born (quite possibly longer).

    Make sure YOU know history before criticizing another person.

    By the way, it was Marx's religious beliefs I was disputing.

    Lol, they were at one time the top 5 wealthiest cities because of manufacturing and the automobile industry. So explain to me how leftist policies changed that? What is the difference in the past 60 years between leftist and rightist policies that would have made Detroit turn out any different?

    I did watch it, how about you tell me what exact leftist policies caused Detroit to go from the 5th wealthiest city in the country to where it is now. Because I'm having a feeling you are simply using a logical fallacy here and you don't actually have an explanation of what leftist policies actually caused the manufacturing and automobile industry in Detroit to decline.

    Go watch it again then, because it's explained in the video. There's no point in discussing this. You can't defend Detroit and its leaders. The results are in, and the left destroyed Detroit.

    I've watched the video. Now tell me what leftist policies created this. Explain to me how this isn't a problem of demographics rather than politics. Explain to me why public education can work in other cities but not Detroit... explain why Govt can build housing projects in other cities, that do not crumble. This is all nothing but a logical fallacy. Leftist policies didn't create Detroit's problems... their citizens created the problems, and when China and Japan took over the car manufacturing and manufacturing in general businesses left Detroit in bulk, leaving their citizens destitute and with out jobs.

    Now tell me again what exact leftist policies created Detroit's problems. That video does not explain how it created the problem, it just shows the problem and talks about leftist policies... it does not connect the two with out using a logical fallacy.

    The video didn't explain what leftist policy caused Detroit's problems. They simply just show broken down buildings, talk about how much Govt assistance they received and say that is what destroyed Detroit. Isn't it entirely possible that they received so much Govt assistance because their demographics and their socioeconomic problems demanded the assistance?

    That video provides absolutely no connection between Detroit's "liberal policies" and their economic problems. And you still have yet to explain why right-wing policies would have produced a different result.

    If you want to truly become a good conservative and teach us "liberals" what we are wrong about, then you are going to have to actually connect the dots and truly explain how liberal policies are creating these results.
