It's a simple matter of getting a federal injuction ordering Arizona to place Obama's name on the ballot. Bennett complies or goes to jail.

I highly doubt that Bush really gave a rat's ass who succeeded him in 2008; he looked more than ready to hightail it into retirement at that point. His endorsement of McCain was strictly a PR move for the Republican Party. As for the charges against Arpaio, I see it as more smokescreening from the Obama Administration to hide the fact that it's been farking up in Arizona since Day One; Fast & Furious, et al.

And say what you want about Ken Bennett; in the end, it is still only Bennett that has the authority to put Obama's name on Arizona's ballot in time for November. You know it, Bennett knows it, and Obama definitely knows it.

The DNC has the option of suing Bennet and given the circumstances a summary judgement is pretty much a certainty. But that won't happen. Obama's name will be on the ballot.
