I heard people talking this morning, even the left wing journalists stating that the speech was a dud. He spoke about the same things he did 4 years ago, that never happened. It sounded like a state of the union address.

No it really wasn't. Obama gave the same speech he always gives. nothing new, no new ideas, no details on how to implement ideas.
And not one word about the debt crisis. Debt passed 16 trillion during the convention. Anyone realize this represents about 8% of total world wealth?
My wife had a good idea. The Republicans should have put the debt clock on the back of a flat bed and drove it around the block at the convention. Then get a flat tire right out front. Right by the news crews.
Over 100k per household. The left says we will get it from the rich and not you but the rich will stay rich and we will all end up paying for it anyway, or our children, or our grandchildren. Could the collectivists get any more irresponsible? The difference between the two campaigns is difference between the individual or the collective. Obama wants to "fundamentally change the way this country works" and calls it the American Dream.
Apparently my instincts were correct. I decided not to watch the speech. I figured it would be the same old canned speech. Obama can kiss North Carolina good bye. Winsconsin is gone. Ohio- most likely. Florida- turns out old people aren't as dumb as Obama thinks and actually like Paul Ryan. Obama has a tough road ahead. Reviews from the left and right indicate he didn't get the job done. I may sacrifice and watch the speech later.
Only watched it for the first 10 minutes; then somehow closed my eyes and had very good sleep till the end of convention. Very hypnotizing.
