Just another curiosity thread from yours truly...

Where have you been in the world?

    What did you do/see?

    Stuff like that...

I, myself, have been all around the US, NC (home state), SC, VA, GA, DC, MA, PA, FL, AZ, NV (Vegas), WA, TX (San Antonio for Basic, Wichita Falls for tech school, Dallas), TN, LA (good ol NOLA), MS...

    I think that's everywhere stateside...

Outside of the US, I've been to Okinawa, Thailand, and Korea (good ol Osan, some here will relate)...

Interesting about Asia is how every single country is so different from the others...

    How about you guys?

Good thread as usual, and I never pass up an opportunity for braggadocio.

I've been 43 States and 40 countries...courtesy of Uncle Sam's Air Force...with logbooks to prove it.

As a private citizen I've lived in 7 States and traveled to 4 countries...when it's on my dime, I'm not as well traveled.

I've set the bar high, now who can beat it...

    Yup...

    Same here...

The majority of my traveling has been AF-related, too...

    40 countries, though!?

    Holy crap!

    Very impressive...

It would take too much time to list everywhere I've been, and I'm feeling lazy. The last trip I took though was to Argentina, and I had a great time.

I'm including countries where I never left the tarmac, well maybe to grab a cup a joe at a terminal and stretch the legs.

    Engine running off-loads sometimes, literally.

I have been all over the ME and Europe on more than one visit and sometimes for extended stays. I wouldn't trade the experience for anything.

I think Kronik went to Africa recently also, if I recall...as a private citizen I'd say he has me beat...just got burned out living out of a 22" x 15.5" x 8" travel bag.
I'm a home-body desk jockey now....traveling to me holds little appeal at the moment.

    Wow...

    Africa, too?

I wanna be able to travel when I retire, and, specifically, I'd like to go back to Thailand for a bit...

    It was great there...

I have also spent a lot of time in the Caribbean...

I would love to tour Yemen but I doubt it will be possible in my lifetime.

90% of out of out of country travel I've done has been as a civilian.

Kenya was an experience. The food was.....not good.

US: East Coast and Midwest states only--I'm sad about this--Oh and Hawaii.

The world: Poland (born), Russia, Ukraine, Germany, France, England, Scotland, Turkey, Jordan, Israel, Egypt, Morocco, Greece, Cyprus, and Rome...oh, and Canada.

We had a small plane that gave us easy access.. and we were avid SCUBA divers. No phones, no internet.. it was great.

    Very well traveled, I see...

I would almost like to get stationed in Europe, so I could travel the continent...

But, the only base I can go to right now is in England, and the flightline there SUCKS!!!

So, I'll pass, for the time being...

It's a bit seedy in spots...I mean...seedy...12 year old bar girls, selling their bodies.

Like anywhere else, if you've got money and can stay out of the rougher areas; Thailand is a gorgeous place.
