America has always been a God-fearing nation, and in return God has bestowed upon this land his many blessings.

But now, with the re-election of the godless Barack Hussein Obama, America has officially turned its back on God.

So God will now turn his back on us.

He will allow our money to become worthless, he will allow our children to grow increasingly ignorant, he will allow our standard of living to continue to decline, he will allow our nation's place in the world to continue to deteriorate.

And when the end comes, and that will be soon, God will be deaf to our pleas for mercy.

As opposed to what before Obama? How many decades do you have to go back before US students were the top in the world, for instance?

I'd like to direct your attention to the First amendment and all the case law president for seperation of chuch and state. Americans can have whatever affiliation they want with religion... AMERICA, itself, has none.

    Obama is a Christian.

Just not the socially-conservative type nor does he want to install a theocracy. - that's too bad for some who now, after their defeat in a democratic election cry "the sky is falling"! lol

Hmm, if America was only successful because it was blessed by God, how does that jive with the whole personal responsibility thing? The religious right really needs to think about the internal consistency of their position.

You obviously haven't been to Sweden.
All the old churches are nearly empty on Sundays. There are more Japanese tourists than worshippers in the cathedral.
There are already more muslims that go to a mosque every Friday than there are Christians that go to a church every sunday. New-age "spiritual" craziness is more popular than Jesus.

Can you substantiate any of these claims, or is it rather a personal, subjective impression?

Is anyone else disturbed by how much this reads like the kind of messages your see discussed in the media after some mass shooting incidents and the like? I fear there is a path of expecting it to happen, wanting it to happen to "helping God" make it happen.

Seems like that's already a result of the borrow and print policies of both parties, not God's eventual wrath.

Federal taxes were marginally higher under Clinton, so did America lose the support of God then? (*)(*)(*)(*) this is all so stupid. God doesn't exist, let alone go around picking which countries he wants to succeed. The United States has one of the most liberal economies of all the developed world, if he's turning his back on American for reelecting Barrack Obama, then he should have bombed Australia, the UK, Norway, Sweden, etc into a pile of smoldering ash by now.

    Stupid breeds stupid.

Which god are we talking about here, because the Christian god as Jesus has more in common with Obama than Romney.

Yeah, imagine education and science opening our eyes to the realisation that this entire god thing is utter BS! We should ignore the reality and be scared of an imaginary spirit guy.

Most of us are atheists about pretty much every single "god" there has ever been, it's just that some of us go one god further.

A while a go, as a Scandianavian, you would have believed in Thor, now it's another god...

Nonsense. Romney lost the election so he won't get a chance to do any of those things now.

A god would need to exist for America to turn it's back upon.

The reality is Mankind is starting to wake up and realize that the trappings of religion are holding us back as a race and that superstitions are hurting as much as helping at times.

I've never believe in any supreme being, and have done quite well for myself. I take great pride in the fact that everything I have accomplished was through my own hard work, and that I didn't need the crutch of a God to do it for me.

God is used as the ultimate scapegoat, when things go bad it's just god's will. Instead of taking personal responsibility for decisions many people ascribe bad things to a supreme deity. I've made mistakes in my life, but I don't try to foist my shortcomings off on my deity of choice like so many Christians do.

I did not vote for Romney (or Obummer) because I am a fairly conservative person that happens to be a Christian. I will not teach my children that it is fine to talk trash about a mans faith and his liberal mentality and then vote for him. It is a matter of principal and I will not sell my soul! Yes Romney was the better of the two for this nation (at this point in time) but the lesser of two evils is not equal to a greater good. I will no longer vote for evil.

I laid it out in a conversation yesterday. If I had not choice - Obummer or Romney - and death was not an option I would have voted Obama. Because I have a choice in this country (even a choice not to vote) I did what approximately 2% of the nation did. I voted "NO CONFIDENCE" in the two party system! Yes I wrote in Mickey Mouse. I will not compromise my beliefs, just as many who voted for either candidate would not, as many conservatives, moderates and liberals (not progressives) did yesterday by voting no confidence.

Part of my reasoning was Revelation 22:18 (For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: ) which I feel addresses Mormonism and Islam. I have read the book of Mormon (good read) and found as much (or more) wrong with it than I do the Koran (read parts of it and some books on it). I find more wrong with the Mormon faith than I do Islam; though, in practice I see some elements of Islam as a real threat.

So please when you blame others for Romneys loss because they voted "No Confidence" consider the why behind their vote. Would you have a person go against what the Lord has placed on their heart? Would you criticize them for taking a stand of faith where perhaps you chose another course that was no less faithful?

America has not gotten the president they needed (neither was that person) but they got the president they deserved.

One can call themselves anything they want. Actions speak louder than words.

One cannot be an American Democrat and a Christian at the same time.....sorry.

For the record, Romney is not a Christian either. ;)

And this goes to the OP. America has turned on God and his values. Look at the past 30 years! As the nation has moved away from God things have gotten worse. Now I just see things going down hill at an almost exponential rate. 12T in debt in the last 20 years and half of that in the last 4. unmeasurable unemployment rates because they use fuzzy math, record numbers of people getting benefits...
