Statue 776.032 deals with law enforcement personnel only while 776.012 deals with the SYG law. In either case, the defense did not seek that type of immunity.

Have I ever done any of those things to you? It seems like you're trying to limit my comments to those that you approve of, if any. If you want to be a censor you should consider being fair and whack the righties once in a while.

The whole thing will blow over in a day or so.

Everytime the media brings up the case they look more and more stupid.

Besides, the case had its intended effect. It got out the black vote.

Now its over. Trayvon is still dead. Zimmermann will eventually win a lawsuit against NBC and be able to retire on it.

Why do you claim that Zimmerman will have Immunity against civil liability? Remember, OJ was acquitted but that did not stop the Brown from bringing and winning a civil suit against him. The pitfall of a civil trial is that there are different rules of evidence that apply. That means that all the text messages and pictures on his phone will be fair game. It will all boil down to what the Jury believed. If they believe that Martin attacked Zimmerman as the evidence supports, then the Martin will lose that trial also.

As far as the Federal Case is concerned, the lack of a case will not matter. Just like the lack of Jurisdiction will not matter. They will manufacture a case absent of facts, and present it to a Federal Grand Jury. Then when they get the indictment, there will be a grand trial. Zimmerman's best chance is to delay the trial until after the 2016 elections, and hope that the next administration will care about the word of law. As opposed to this administration that believes that they can do what ever they want to do no matter the law.

That's funny, because we all know how forthcoming the president has been on all the various scandals that plagues his ill begotten administration...

People will give him money because they approve of what he did. He should be getting the keys to the city next week.

    Sanford Police maybe?

He can also run as Sanford Mayor too, since there are a lot more young black men wearing hoods who need to profiled, detained, and/or shot dead without trial.

Zimmerman has saved Sanford Florida from the hoody wearing thugs and white people can rest more easily now, knowing a precedent has been set that will reinforce vigilantism in the guise of self defense.

just because the jury did not feel the da proved his case beyond a reasonable doubt, does not mean the victim in this case is no longer a victim, I think they were both victims of each other that night, because both of them over-reacted to the others intent - Martin paid with his life, Zimmerman will pay by having this follow him where ever he goes as the internet never forgets, I think I would prefer death to what Zimmerman will probably go through, probably be treated like a leper of society

No, Zimmerman will be running as a Republican congressman with NRA backing. Or he might just become an NRA success story and help some gun manufacturer sell more guns to paranoid white people.

Yeah, I'm watching a lot of circular reasoning right now. They just can't reach the conclusion that bouncing a white Hispanic's head off the pavement is dangerous.

There had to be a trial to weigh in on the evidence that a person was killed for a bag of skittles and Arizona ice tea. I can see how and why a trial would be required because the burden of proof for a trial is much lower than a jury presuming a guilty or not guilty verdict. No one should be happy, sad, angry, or upset with the verdict. The verdict is what it is and that is all.

But the bigger problem is who do we live in our society and interacting with other people who are different than us. Keep in mind there are four other cases similar to GZ in that self defense was claimed. One in Judge Nelson's courtroom is about a man who shot and killed a teenager because the music was too loud. He too is claiming self defense even though there were no weapons found.

The problem that I see is that if this happend in my state, he would have been arrested and tried. Whether or not he was found guilty or not would be same question before the jury rendered its verdict.

I don't think he'll be sorry for it. There's always some place for a person to go. He'll probably even win a case against NBC, because they likely went too far somewhere along the line.

So...a guy kills an narmed kid with a gun and live's happily ever after. One can only speculate if people would still feel this way if the boy was White...

Don't break the law, go home to eat Skittles or mix up some lean drank. Makes sense to me.

I don't think the state proved its case, I think nobody knows is obvious. Second degree murder was stupidly played by the prosecutor. The whole affair from the very beginning, by the police and the news media was a miscarriage of justice in my firm opinion. A neighborhood watch citizen carrying a gun - wrong. Zimmerman at the very least is a fool who carries no remorse in the death of a 17 year old. This was a wrongful death. The prosecutor should have gone with proving the obvious that most people should know. The state of Florida should feel great shame in these proceedings as a whole.
I was sad when I first heard about the affair. Sad for Travon's parents.
I never cared about Zimmerman. He made an absolutely stupid mistake and never once showed a hint of remorse.
I don't like making targets of people, pacifying an ingredient of society just to prove a point, or overly penalizing a fool for making a stupid mistake. But I do believe in setting a good example. And this was clearly a joke - and yes, this upsets me because a young man is dead. For whatever that's worth.

    Peace!
