    Pfft.

I'm not a lemming who is all bent out of shape at the thought of a government shut down. Everyone knows it's all a bunch of crap. After all, are we to believe that the likes of Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and Boehner will all just pack up and go away? It's not like there are any jobs out there for them. Hell, it's not like there are any jobs period. Just the thought of having to be subjected to Obamacare should be enough incentive to negotiate a settlement.

In the end, all of this is just a show. All you will see is endless posturing and poll taking, like a peacock in heat and in desperate need of attention. They are like children holding their breath in a violent rage to garnish their parents submission and/or approval. However, as they turn blue and pass out, just know that they will be up and around in no time continuing to nag the (*)(*)(*)(*) out of us till the day we die. Soon they will again be eating our food, taking our money, and insisting that we be their insurance policy for themselves and their friends in Wall Street because they are all still dependents and always will be.

Government shut down? Pfft, my we dreams are not that good.

I want a government shut down. Shut it down. Down. Pull the money. Loose government jobs. Go for it. And blame Obama. Blame the democrats who started this business of pushing an expensive, unaffordable program down the throats of Americans who don't want it. They shut it down.

Do you want a pet unicorn to go with the fantasy of blaming Obama and the Democrats?

This is not about shrinking government, rather, this is about placating conservatives and energizing the base of the DNC.

Nothing will come of this that limits government in any significant way. In fact, they will use this to find new ways to empower government.

Collectivists traditionally use a "crisis" or manufacture one in order to grasp for power. After all, most people just want to live their lives in peace and be left alone. To change this attitude, a crisis is necessary for them to clamor for change. This crisis is 100% manufactured.

Be careful. Collectivists work in a predictable fashion, they pounce on a crisis to empower themselves.

After all, most people just want to live their lives in peace and be left alone. So how does government energize them to desire change? They do this by taking advantage of a crisis or manufacturing one. This is a manufactured crisis. It's still to early to know how they may make us suffer in order to care.

Since the government doesn't really shut down during a government shut down, why not have one? A bunch of overpaid secretaries with fancy titles and flunkies who pretend that they would be trillionaires but for their noble sacrifice of working for a measly $100K a year are the only ones who will get laid off. They will draw unemployment, do their Christmas shopping, and pretend to be victims of the satanic GOP.

Doesn't matter how many loans. All that matters is how much cash you have on hand to pay for those loans. 99.5% of the people do not have the cash reserves to pay off 10% of their mortgage, much less the full amount. And what would she do if the IRS is not alble to function? The web site may not work to get that all too important tax transcript to prove income. Bnaks are not going to accept a copy from Turbo Tax or your accountant. And other agencies that handle loan functions may not be too willing to loan money in an economy that will lose 22% of its GDP.

Actually, I was referring to private banks.

This is about communication, clarity, courage and conviction. People are concerned that the Democrats will blame the conservatives and that the media will be the tool of the Democrats. Yes, it takes courage and conviction to combat that....but wimpering away for another day isn't going to work. Obamacare was backdoored through....it was not wanted by the American people. And now with the chaos its creating....Republicans can't whimper away. Its not about limited government...its about a dangerous law.

there is nothing dangerous about the law. You have been listening to dumb ass radio talk show shock jocks who do not understand anything about the law. This is about a group of people being plain ass dumb and stupid,, not courage and conviction. .

And if past is indicative of today, they will get back pay. Shut down solves nothing, especially if money is to be saved.

How can you say with a straight face it doesnt matter the amount of loans, but than say is how much cash is on hand to pay loans. Lets say we have 10 k cash on hand. Guy A has 3 loans of 3k. Guy B has 10 loans of 3k. Who is in better shape?

So you're amish, how'd you get a computer.

The guy who can pay it off, obviously.
In the case where neither can pay it off, then the bank is screwed. But that will never happen, they have the taxpayers at their back.

Now, the assumptions i must make of you since you have been full of logical fallacy is that a 12 year old found out his fathers password.

No assumptions, unless you have your father's password.

So, who is worse off, the guy with 3 - 30K loans or the guy with 10 - 30K loans?. IMO, it is based on income.
And as we have seen, banks are immune as the taxpayers will bail them out. Am I wrong? Certainly not 100% or them, but those 2 big 2 fail.

Well, and O-Care is just the latest in untenable, unnecessary government bloat & entitlement programs to come down the pike.

It's funny, though, Obama's spin of attacking the (R) for doing precisely what he and the rest of the (D) are doing - threatening to shut down the government (waah!) if they don't get their way. Of course, even if the stupid debt limit is not increased, there is technically no need to shut down the government. They will still have tax revenues to spend... Another thing Obama is being backwards about is this "paying our bills" stuff. We borrow instead of paying our bills, not in order to pay them.

Why, though, has this never been a big issue when we've had Republican control? When they are in control, somehow it's OK to keep raising the debt ceiling and all that. No biggie...
