I feel like this painting sucks, and as he creates more they will continue to go down in value, but he should be able to milk 1 million out of this if he gets like 20 out there. It will end up with the Martin family, minus his homestead.

He forgot to add on the self employment tax anyway. Better put 40% on the side for the man. :)

He gets it because of notoriety. If he killed say a bunch of white kids, and was named John Wayne Gayce his paintings would be worth more.

Not everything is because of racism. Take your glasses off one day. Someone is trying to make a little cash on a painting that will likely appreciate in value. Not reward him for killing a black kid. Like you once told me, sometimes the only color that matters is green.

Sidenote, if the guy who won was collecting the new black panther party reward by having Zimmerman hand deliver the painting to their headquarters and cashing in on the one million they offered that would be hysterical. I realize it isnt likely and all that, but that would be a great prank for all involved.

First off there is no Martin family there is only Tracy and his ho's. Secondly they better get to filing in court. The statute of limitations runs out this February.

Self employment tax does not apply because he has not met the standard that this is considered his livelihood. However, if he becomes another Richard hatch, so to speak, then he dug his own grave, pun not intended.

I would have to look up the regulations, but to consider this his "livelihood" his intent would have to be to make and sell more paintings. One in a blue moon or something that he did once does not mean that it is subject to self employment tax even if that is his only income. From my perspective, this is ordinary income, reported on Part I of Form 8949 and the Form 1040 Schedule D. I

Good ol' Zimmy...photoshops a picture, passes it off as legit, and then sells it to himself. The guy could say he parted the Red Sea and y'all would believe him.

I actually want GZ to go see a qualified tax accountant, not a tax return factory or some "friend" to do this for him. But if GZ does not report it, the computer systems will do 90% of the work. The question will be, would GZ get the letter.

I believe 'from conservatives' should have been included between 'money' and 'for'.

What? That he photoshopped the work of a real artist? That's not a theory, it's fact.

I'm pleased you agree with me. After all, the numerous posts under all Zimmerman threads speak volumes.

So am I. The attempted, media-led, Federal government-supported railroadong of Zimmerman as a "racist", is what MADE HIM FAMOUS, and ironically, will also ENRICH him.
