Wow. Showing what an EFFECTIVE LEADER DOES to those who screw up in his/her employ, New Jersey Gov.Chris Cristi IMMEDIATELY FIRED the members of his staff behind the Fort Lee ,NJ. hiway lane closings:

Gov. Christie Fires Aide, Apologizes for Traffic Jams

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Moving quickly to quell a widening political scandal, Gov. Chris Christie fired one of his top aides Thursday and apologized repeatedly for the “abject stupidity” of his staff, insisting he had no idea anyone around him had engineered traffic jams as retribution against a Democratic mayor.

“I am embarrassed and humiliated by the conduct of some of the people on my team,” the Republican governor said at a news conference in which he patiently took questions from reporters — and answered in his typically blunt fashion — for nearly two hours.

Contrast Cristi's quick, decisvie action with the nation's current Chief Executive:

    Fast & Furious
    Benghazi
    IRS Targeting
    NSA illegal spying
    Obamacare Debacle;

    Total people fired = ZERO.

Sorry, don't believe him. This person was a childhood friend and I can't believe this person would do this without recommendation. The reason Romney didn't pick him as a vice candidate is because he had to many skeletons in his closet. He also sucked up to Obama during the Hurricane. He has proved himself a RINO one too many times for me. I would never vote for him for prez. He's just another establishment politician in love of power and money.

He picked them people....birds of a feather, flock together, just like the Obama administration...don't be fooled.

dude, it was either fire them or take the heat for it.

you seriously believe he didn't have a hand in/ or was aware of what was happening? cause if he didn't, then it don't think you should be touting him as being such a good leader.

    I am still not convinced!

I'll wait before making up my mind whether I believe him or whether he just dumped his guilt on his subordinates. . . and if he did. . .for how much?

    Time will (maybe) tell.

Or very, very cold... notice how old paintings of Satan showed him blue, after Dante's book got popular?

Well, the Mayor of Ft.Lee has accepted the DIRECT APOLOGY,and the firings.

Notice , Christie did NOT say, "It's my fault; MY responsibility.....BUT......", did he?

He accepted blame; I don't know whether closing two lanes for four days on a highway is a serious enough matter to require the governor's input.

    Ever been to New York?

    Happens ALL THE TIME:

George Washington Bridge lanes open again after emergency repairs

NEW YORK (WABC) -- All lanes on the upper level of the George Washington Bridge are open again Tuesday after emergency repairs made for a traffic nightmare Monday.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey had to close two upper-level westbound lanes so crews could complete the work.

The repairs came less than a week after more emergency roadwork on the bridge snarled traffic and one month after three lanes heading into New York City had to be closed.

    Think they "CONSULTED THE GOVERNOR"?

Christie is "guilty" of polling AHEAD of HILLARY CLINTON= why the MSM is so desperately trying to "Drama Queen" it.

BIG difference in doing work that is necessary, vs causing a traffic issue because of politics.

It is why republicans understand responsibility....fire the guilty, arrest everyone involved if it was illegal. The dems rally round their trash and then promote them.

No, the "Big Difference" is the ridiculous implication that , "...if lanes were closed on the GW bridge, ' CHRISTIE MUST HAVE KNOWN ' "....which is nonsense.

If he noticed at all, last September, he likely considered just ANOTHER of the myriad lane closings that occur there constantly.

He found out about it, YESTERDAY, because of emails that came to light, and there is nothing to dispute that.

He didn't "pull an Obama",and try to dodge any culbability, he did not try to "explain it" away.

He FIRED the people involved, IMMEDIATELY.

when the idea was brought to his attention a couple of months ago, he brushed it off.

It took the proof of a couple of emails for him to care. There was no "brushing" it off after the emails came to light.

Not buying it for a second. I think he knew all along and he dodged the questions while mocking the journalists asking the questions right up to the point where indisputable evidence came to light. To be expected though, "New Jersey politician" ranks just below carny barker on the list of people you can trust.

Is there someone else involved, that Christie DID NOT fire?

If so, let's see them; otherwise, spare us the DRAMA, please.

This is nothing more than a pathetic attempt to divert attention from former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates' scathing account of the "political posturing", and putting our military in harms' way, by HILLARY and OBAMA. PERIOD.

Two closed lanes, for four days, last September, is hardly the National Crisis the LEft is so desperately trying to make it.

Do y'all even realize how silly you're getting?

Yes, he fired them so fast, he didn't even bother to ask Bridgett Kelly to explain herself as to what happened, why she lied, and who else was involved. Not asking any questions from his staff during this whole ordeal, shows he was real concerned about who did what and why, and a bridge closing stranding thousands and one woman died of a heart attack because emergency personnel were never able to get there on time. Yes, Christie is on top of things. THE MAN IS A TOTAL JOKE.

Here's the best take by Lawrence Odonnell on why Christie is a horrible leader; http://www.msnbc.com/the-last-word

I would have taken this response seriously if it had been any other poster. But, you are telling someone else they're getting silly? Drama you say?

I'm laughing so hard right now, I'll have to type a more serious response in a little while.

    Christie Crème is nothing but a anti-gun, pro-amnesty, pro-ObamaCare, Obama-hugging RINO.

You know, not much different than a Democrat.

I hope this is the end of him.
