See perfect example here. Went to a buddies house last night and had 2 beers. Came home and had 2 more beers then fell asleep and woke up with cotton mouth and a headache... Last weekend I spent the entire day Saturday at Hooters with a friend and we drank about 5 pitchers of beer. Then went out to a bar and had about 5 crown and cokes and some pink vodaka thing he bought. Woke up the next morning, stretched, and felt perfectly fine. Alcohol is weird...makes zero sense.
to get a good buzz it takes 3-4 beers, or 3 shots in an hour or 5 beers, or 4 shots in 2 when I've eaten within the past couple hours. empty stomach I'm feeling 2 beers after an hour or 2 shots. Now how much i can drink on a full night well I can have 7-8 mixed drinks, or 15-16 beers in a 4-5 hr period and be intoxicated, but still be able to function, not drive function, i mean speak clearly.
Hi my name is JooDee. JooDee does not drink alcohol as it is bad for my health. Water is good. Peace, JooDee Grand Secretary of Bar Sing Say.
I think it depends greatly on how hydrated you are while drinking and how much water you drink prior to going to bed. That is my experience anyway.
I'm in cheap liquor mode, so 2 25oz Hurricanes is my preferred buzz. I drink both in about 3 1/2 hours, I'm good, I get good sleep and I can wake up early. If I go crazy, 3 or 4 over a period of 4 to 5 hours will lead me to post dumb (*)(*)(*)(*) on facebook for the last hour before going to bed and waking up pissed off that I drank more than 2. I don't touch anything else except an irish carbomb or shot of tequila now and then. Also, one bottle of port or marala is about the same effect on me (when I drink it in same amount of time as hurricanes). I get a decent buzz, I don't do anything retarded and I wake up refreshed (mostly...depends on how soon after I eat that I drink...). Most of it has to do with how fast it absorbs into the blood stream in terms of how (*)(*)(*)(*)ty it makes you feel (or how embarrassing you are to yourself, depending on during or after). I found that if you drink a little water as you drink your beer, you'll be a lot happier in the morning.
Drinking water the night before doesnt seem to help me. I need gatorade. I've found that no matter how much alcohol I had to drink if I eat a bunch of calories and force down a big gatordade before bed then I will wake up and feel fine. Problem is that I usually forget to do that.
Now I have a high tolerance for alcohol, which is mostly a good thing. My high tolerance for weed? Just frustrating.
Two glasses of wine with food works for me. I have very low body mass. I remember years ago---I had one bottle of beer on an empty stomach (hadn't eaten well during the day either), went to bed and woke up with one of my worst, most painful hangovers.
Or waking up one morning with someone you had never seen before telling you how great you are And how she would be glad to marry you
I'd go with little to none, cause I don't consume alcohol at all. What is the satisfaction in alcohol consumption is really beyond me.
I'll tell you something really odd, when I was in my thirties and my business was growing I drank just about every day, and evening. Business meetings, Luncheons and such, it rarely ever stopped. I could put away a good fifth or so a day and be comfortable,,and I guess a bit happy at times...LOL Huge parties every weekend as well, same thing,,Vodka Martinis.... Then one day I said to myself,,,,''Hey, this cant be good'' so I stopped, just like that. Oh I may have a Beer at a picnic, or a toast at a wedding but that was it, usually not even finishing the entire drink. Now I am 65, and if I have one glass of wine I'm finished....LOL The real lousy thing though is now I cant even enjoy it if I wanted too, I just dont get high, just tired. Seriously no high at all, and several times I tried....nothing,,just ...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.. Sucks actually,,,,,hahahaha,,,but I really do not miss it at all, I cant even take the smell of hard Liquor..
It relaxes you. People enjoy the feeling they get when they drink it. Sometimes a bit too much... Alcohol is an acquired taste thats for sure. I actually enjoy the taste of crown royal whiskey. At first I didn't I thought it was disguisting as well as beer. I used to just hold my nose and drink it for the buzz. Now I enjoy the taste of it. Now even saying that I still drink it for the buzz. Whiskey tastes good to me but its not something that I would drink if it didn't give me a buzz. All alcohol is "gross" in some form or fashion and the taste is something you just get used to. I doubt many people would drink it if it didn't give them any sort of buzz.
Being relaxed and being buzzed go hand in hand to some ppl? Don't you think that it might prevent some more natural human body mechanisms to work properly or even to degenerate our ability to cope with stress in a natural way?
Yeah I agree, I'm not saying its a good thing Im just saying thats why people do it. It's not always about stress, I'm not stressed out today but I'm having a few beers right now. Bottom line is simple, people like to get drunk.
I only drink when I smoke cannabis. Gives a nice bit of euphoria. I figure the effect is potentated by the weed - one beer gets me where I want to go - two is too much.
I used to be able to do shots and then this very nice barmaid introduced me to the pleasures of something called Sex on the Beach, in all respects. I've never drank anything else since As for tolerance it's like the old saying: one tequila, two tequila, three tequila, floor.
