Wendy Davis attacked by Tea Partier on Twitter

If anyone wanted to find out more about the Tea Party, look no further than Tea Party activist Todd Kincannon who unleashed a parade of vile and hateful tweets aimed at Texas State Senator Wendy Davis.

Why such hate against Davis? This past summer, Davis became a household name when she y filibustered to stop Gov. Rick Perry’s abortion restrictions. She has since announced her candidacy to replace Perry, the far right's golden child.

A few weeks ago, Davis admitted that she separated from her husband and then obtained a divorce a few years later, which somehow upset the far right.

Here are some quotes from Kincannon's tweets that pass this site's smut filter:

Questions:

Why do Tea Partiers so often need to be gagged, banned or suspended from various Internet media?

How often do we hear "they don't represent us" when fellow Tea Partiers are caught using racist, sexist or crude language?

Conservatives didn't go crying to the referees when supporters of the absentee mom made rude remarks about Greg Abbott being in a wheel chair.

Lefties don't take the moral high ground. Lefties don't dismiss people due to gender, religion, culture, race, poverty, etc.

The problem the Tea Party has is that they have painted themselves into the corner. By claiming that homosexuality is unnatural, Christianity and creationism should be taught in schools, gay marriage should be illegal, children should have two parents, etc., they have held the standard of morality up to a 1950s level. The problem is that this isn't the 1950s and the Tea Partiers are no more likely to conform to their value rules than liberals.

 

Judging from the responses on this thread, the right really is as anti-Woman as the mainstream media has asserted all along.
