Please get rid of more in the GOP. Who else would you like to get rid of? Make a list, please. This is awesome, BTW. It's great that you want fewer people in the GOP.

Have you noticed the ones who are bailing out are the Establishment Republicans, the Status Quo Republican Liberals, SQRLS?

I am always happy to see a sqrl pick up his nut (very few have a pair) and leave the party.

They call the tea party extreme. Why? As far as I can tell they believe in the constitution. Is that extreme?

Yes. Even reading the Constitution is considered to be extreme by the left wing Democratic Party and their sock puppets.

That rise was followed by a sharp fall as soon as Palin got out in public and became obvious that she was a complete moron. "I can see Russia from my front post dontcha know."

Poor Sarah's ignorance is what lost McCain the election.

John McCain is being censured because he isn't a frothing at the mouth idiot who actually wants to work together to get stuff done. Sorry that is no longer the goal of the republican party.

Mon cher ami Moi, I've told you who NeoCons are between a billion and a trillion times. I have faith that you'll get it some day.

I don't believe Libertarians are under the Republican umbrella. Republicans care about what government should do. Libertarians care about what government should not do. This may sound like only a difference of degree, but I believe it's fundamental. The Gimme Party, largest and most powerful of all US parties, can never be led by a Libertarian. Neither can the Royalist Party, secretly hungering to submit to a king for more than two centuries now. A Libertarian is someone who wants to be free, an idea which frightens most people.

Working people have had no party since leftists discovered they could win workers' votes by lying to them, as did Obama. The "Liberal Machine" is all about power. When we were young, liberals stood for working people. No more. The party has been overrun by power-mad lying "progressives," most of whom have never done a day's real work.

That leaves us with business-as-usual "Republocrats," totalitarian leftists, and Constitutional conservatives (the Tea Party). I respect Libertarians, but they're on a permanent fringe. I believe the salvation of our republic is to be found within the Tea Party. That's why the others hate them so - not because of the vile lies Republocrats and leftists tell about them, but because their principles are the ones validated by American history.

Bull honky...McCain was put in by the puppet masters as was Obama. Do you really think these nominations are from "We the People"? If you do, you're dumber than I thought. It's all a fix. They two parties put up who they want. We don't really have a choice in the matter. Once they get to Washington 99% are there to have their stings pulled, including Obama.

McCain might as well change to a Dem. He's our next Arlen Specter.

I can assure you that the Tea Party does not reflect the beliefs of the founding fathers.

The Tea Party is more a threat to the old guard Republican party than it is to the dems. The old guard GOP has tried harder to snuff them out than the dems because the Tea Party means their demise. Can't have someone rock the boat to line their pockets and stay in office for 40 years and become millionaires.

    - - - Updated - - -

I can assure you that the dems and reps of today are much further from that than the Tea Party.

Well then, assure me? Can you assure me the founding fathers:

    Supported 17 trillion in debt?
    Widespread redistribution of wealth?
Nanny state government that chokes off individual freedom?
    Endless civil liberties abuses?
    TSA?
    NSA?
    Endless wars and regime changes?

    Bring it.

The Framers were anti-gay marriage? They were anti-immigration? They were against government bailouts? They wanted women to own guns? They believe in equal opportunity for black people?

It's safe to say "no" to all of that. Those issues either didn't exist of the Framers had a different stance than the Tea Party.

This effort by Tea Partiers to portray themselves as the real Americans is nonsense. You can't coopt America, the Constitution, or what the Framers stood for.

Where did Pardy go? Usually when I can assure someone of something I'm ready to present the argument.

Let's just suffice it to say, I'm not feeling very assured by Pardy's mysterious absence. :roflol:
