Even politifact scrutinized the hell out of this data about 45000 dying from lack of coverage:

    http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-m...rayson-claims-45000-people-die-year-because-/

Correlation does not equal causation. What does that mean? Just because someone didn't have health insurance, doesn't mean that lack of it caused the death. You could claim that owning a boat causes a death too by correlating that everyone who died while owning a boat died because of the boat. It's the same idea.

    And it's crap.

This is correct. Correlation does not establish causation and not a single person dies from a lack of insurance. A person can die from cancer or other potentially fatal illnesses but they can't actually die from a lack of insurance.

Where the correlation is accurate is in that many of these "fatal" illnesses can be cured if detected soon enough but a person lacking health insurance will all to often ignore the early signs of the desease or won't have it diagnosed during a routine exam that they would receive if they had insurance. By the time the diagnosis of the desease is done it is too late to save the person's life so they die.

So by the strict definition of "causation" the person did not die based upon whether they were insured or not but based upon "correlation" they did die because they didn't have the insurance that would have paid for early diagnosis of the desease that could have prevented them from dying from the desease.

Yes, but all you're doing is admitting that these people die because they choose not to go in and get checked or treated. This has nothing to do with insurance. Insurance doesn't make people go to the doctor, just like lack of it doesn't prevent it. How many people have died WITH insurance? Ever did a study on THAT number?

We have reached a serious point of failure when we have about 20% of the nation (Liberals / Progressives) believing that Fiscal Responsibility, Lowering the Tax Burden, and Following the U.S. Constitution is "Extreme".

What is actually "Extreme" is running up a $17 Trillion Debt with no plan to pay it back coupled with a plan to run that debt up to $22 Trillion within the next 3 years. That is "Extreme".
