Finding one with their head in the sand is not hard to do when you find one who continues to flaunt the same old dried up talking points that have been debunked so many times, which one can no longer count.

A.) I think you mean SHEER numbers (not shear, which means to cut).
B.) The fact that only Tea Party groups, primarily, were held back for so called study while other applicants were sailing through the IRS process, like Obama's brother whose application for tax free status, for a charity that seems to have no discernible reason for being (which was given retroactive approval, amazingly), seems to run counter to the story you are trying to tell.

If you bothered paying attention to "ALL" the details from 1954 (501)C4 law up until this fabricated scandal broke out, there is nothing whatsoever countering to this story. The fact that only Tea Party groups were held back and by this point in time you do not understand why, or maybe you have no interest in knowing why, whatever the reason, you haven't been keeping up with the information as it has been produced. That's on you. If you can't keep up, save us the wasted time of explaining it to you. Because it has already been explained.

Assuming you are right, which I do not, this all makes me wonder why Lois Lerner has moved on from her IRS position and pleaded for fifth amendment protections against self incrimination when asked to explain her disparate treatment of Tea Party groups by the IRS, if (as I said) you are to be believed.

You seem so sure of yourself but this is hardly the same thing as being right. Maybe you shouldn't take as gospel everything the Daily Kos nuts spoon feed to you.

Lets see here possibly because of......

In February 2005, U.S. Representative Louise Slaughter (Democrat of New York) and 23 co-sponsors introduced the Fairness and Accountability in Broadcasting Act (H.R. 501)[20] in the 1st Session of the 109th Congress of 2005-7 (when Republicans held a majority of both Houses). The bill would have shortened a station's license term from eight years to four, with the requirement that a license-holder cover important issues fairly, hold local public hearings about its coverage twice a year, and document to the FCC how it was meeting its obligations.[21] The bill was referred to committee, but progressed no further.[22]

In the same Congress, Representative Maurice Hinchey (another Democrat from New York) introduced legislation "to restore the Fairness Doctrine". H.R. 3302, also known as the "Media Ownership Reform Act of 2005" or MORA, had 16 co-sponsors in Congress.[23]

In June 2007, Senator Richard Durbin (D-Illinois) said, "It's time to reinstitute the Fairness Doctrine,"[24] an opinion shared by his Democratic colleague, Senator John Kerry of Massachusetts.[25] However, according to Marin Cogan of The New Republic in late 2008:
“ Senator Durbin's press secretary says that Durbin has 'no plans, no language, no nothing. He was asked in a hallway last year, he gave his personal view'—that the American people were served well under the doctrine—'and it's all been blown out of proportion.'[26] ”

On June 24, 2008, U.S. Representative Nancy Pelosi of San Francisco, California (who had been elected Speaker of the House in January 2007) told reporters that her fellow Democratic Representatives did not want to forbid reintroduction of the Fairness Doctrine, adding "the interest in my caucus is the reverse." When asked by John Gizzi of Human Events, "Do you personally support revival of the 'Fairness Doctrine?'", the Speaker replied "Yes."[27] On October 22, 2008, Senator Jeff Bingaman (Democrat of New Mexico) told a conservative talk radio host in Albuquerque, New Mexico:
“ I would want this station and all stations to have to present a balanced perspective and different points of view. All I’m saying is that for many, many years we operated under a Fairness Doctrine in this country, and I think the country was well-served. I think the public discussion was at a higher level and more intelligent in those days than it has become since.[28] ”

On December 15, 2008, U.S. Representative Anna Eshoo (Democrat of California) told The Daily Post in Palo Alto, California that she thought it should also apply to cable and satellite broadcasters.
“ I’ll work on bringing it back. I still believe in it. It should and will affect everyone.[29] ”

On February 11, 2009, Senator Tom Harkin (Democrat of Iowa) told Press, "...we gotta get the Fairness Doctrine back in law again." Later in response to Press's assertion that "...they are just shutting down progressive talk from one city after another," Senator Harkin responded, "Exactly, and that's why we need the fair—that's why we need the Fairness Doctrine back."[30] Former President Bill Clinton has also shown support for the Fairness Doctrine. During a February 13, 2009, appearance on the Mario Solis Marich radio show, Clinton said:
“ Well, you either ought to have the Fairness Doctrine or we ought to have more balance on the other side, because essentially there's always been a lot of big money to support the right wing talk shows. ”

Clinton cited the "blatant drumbeat" against the stimulus program from conservative talk radio, suggesting that it doesn't reflect economic reality.[31]

HUH?? Nothing you said proves what you say it proved. And BTW, the IG of the IRS said that conservative groups were targeted. And they've come forward by the hundreds to complain about how they were treated. They've testified before Committees. YES, they were targeted that's fact. Even Lois Lerner admitted they were. So.....please stop trying to rewrite history.

I never said they weren't targeted. You are trying to twist my message. Targeting is one thing, doing it for political reasons is another. If you've been following along, which it's apparent you haven't, you would know exactly what my last post said and the others. But instead, you go off and accuse me of saying Tea Party groups and others weren't targeted. Not true! If all you can do is direct your defense by hijacking the message find someone else to do that with. It won't work here.

I'm so sure of myself, that I know I'm totally 100% correct. You know how I know? Because no one from the right has been able to disprove any of the information that has been gathered, which fit all the pieces of this IRS puzzle together, which have ended up making the most perfect sense. All of it. That's why! And most people who are of a sound mind, know that what I say is true. I will never have to convince them, because they have decided to be reasonable and they use their head, not their blind hate. And the one's such as yourself, have no plans in using reason in all this, no matter what.

You never addressed the whole Lois Learner thing and like a truly deluded zealot I don't think you
ever will because to admit to her "problems" at the IRS is to admit your little house of cards has no foundation.

Whether you are correct or not about the 1959 misinterpretation of 1954 IRS code (or whatever Daily Kos bull(*)(*)(*)(*) you are under the spell of)
the whole point is moot: You cannot selectively and disparately use the most powerful and intimidating branch of government (IRS) to punish a group of people that happen to be political enemies of the sitting president. You just can't! It's the stuff of banana republics and dictatorships.

You don't think the tax free status should be given to anyone? Fine! Then revoke it ALL! But you cannot grant your friends these privileges
that you withhold from your foes! Period.

I have discussed Lois Lerner countless times on here. Lois Lerner was simply the fall lady in this whole fiasco. She saw immediately how ridiculous all this was for one thing. And secondly, she was caught up in something that really went unnoticed(501)C4 and she new it would be next to impossible to explain it, because she herself couldn't. No one understood it and it had been with us for so long. Once she realized that this was all political shenanigans by the right wing with Darrell Issa broadcasting all these lies about Obama and the targeting that she new would also be tough if not impossible to explain, for her own survival, she decided to plea the Fifth. Lois Lerner had about as much chance of explaining this to reasonable minds as I have trying to jump over the moon. She new from the beginning the right was after much more than just Lois Lerner, so she decided instead of playing their game, she just wouldn't play. She new she'd done nothing wrong and nothing would ever get back to her so she decided to look after herself before someone took her down as a guinea pig in all this.

The point is definitely not moot. As a matter of fact, it is the whole reason everything happened. It is the only reason everything happened the way it did. And again, I am 100% positive of this, and so are the rest of the reasonable people in the room. That is why people laugh at it and make fun. At this point it's all about desperation from the right.

"You cannot selectively and disparately use the most powerful and intimidating branch of government (IRS) to punish a group". And "YOU" cannot possibly abandon every strain of logic you have to not see how a changed/confusing law, that was never supposed to be on the books, would not cause to occur such a situation as the targeting by the IRS. The reason for it is staring us all straight in the face. To not see it, is just willful denial of the real truth.

The scandals are real, dujac, and in a way, that makes Republican impotence, incompetence, and duplicity even worse than you suggest! The agonizingly real truth about everything from "Fast and Furious", to Benghazi, to NSA, to IRS, to Obama's deliberate, bald-faced LIES about Obamacare, et al, are right out there, for all to see. And yet these cowardly, useless Republican "place-holders" stand around doing absolutely nothing about any of it except for an occasional "hearing" along with a few feeble complaints to Fox News....

No, after all these years have passed, in which we've seen a staggering amount of negligence, malfeasance, incompetence, and, (yes!) "high crimes and misdemeanors" coming endlessly from the Obama regime, the Republicans have done nothing -- but make money hand-over-fist in the fraud "recovery" supposedly engineered by Obama, but which has been nothing but sleight-of-hand bond-buying by the Federal Reserve combine.... When it's all said and done, I'm confronted, honestly, with this -- "What the hell has the Republican Party done for me and the rest of the Middle Class? NOTHING of any use!"

Wow! You really think you have an insight into the mind of Lois Lerner? Incredible! In any event, bad law or not, Lois Lerner was caught applying the law in a disparate manner to the detriment of
Obama's political enemies. That's what Nixon did.

By the way, there is a reason why the words "knew" and "new" are two entirely different things. Your sloppy careless spelling reflects your muddled error riddled thinking. "Took her down as a guinea pig"? You couldn't make up such bizarre syntax and inappropriate use of language and phraseology.

Obviously the point is moot. You are simply looking for a way to
justify IRS bias against the Tea Party and there is none. Ask Lois Lerner.

Good law or bad it must be administered in an impartial way. You don't seem to understand such a simple basic concept.

Let's take a look at what the ACLU had to say about this, shall we?

Sounds like the ACLU agrees with you, JP5, and you're right - this shouldn't happen here. If Obama & Co. don't like it, they can swim to Cuba and unleash their inner Stalinists there.

In practical terms it would be impossible for Obama to be impeached and removed, no matter what he did (too many other socialists in Congress, obviously). I think what galls the living hell out of Conservatives like me is that Republicans haven't even tried to get rid of this dictatorial, autocratic, socialist menace. They just sit back, hold "hearings", wink at each other as the stock market continues its senseless rise beyond fantasy levels, and appear on talk-show radio telling us all how outraged they are. A lot of us on the Right are weary beyond description with this insulting, disingenuous, pandering crap!

Omigod! I think we actually agreed on something! Watch what happens as people like me continue to get madder, and madder, and even more disgusted with these nauseating RINO do-nothing "Republicans". You hyperlib Socialists and we far-Right wing Conservatives may end up forming the strangest political alliance that American politics has ever seen!

I'm not kidding! "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em!" -- especially if the only alternatives are the lost wilderness of Libertarianism, and, the hypocritical uselessness and hypocrisy of "Republican" RINO-ism....

It has been done before, as I think you know. The National Socialists in Germany fought the Communists tooth-and-nail for years during the 1920's and early 1930's, but, when Hitler became Chancellor and the Nazis won power, most of the Communists joined them, and actually became some of the more ardent Nazi party supporters that the Third Reich had.

Right now, all that these RINO politicians seem to have, or care about, are their stock portfolios, but you Socialists have a dictator who has successfully seized power in a bloodless coup. The choice between these two gets easier to make with the passing of every day. I'm not kidding....
