Funny, my Grandfather was a Blacksmith and he didn't own a car until 1924 and it wasn't used much because there wasn't the type of roads we have today, they were mostly 2 ruts running off into the distance. Oh, you never heard of wagon trails??? Yes, letsh, that's what most of them were until the 1940's, dirt roads and when it rained they were two ruts running in the direction you were headed..

Yet you vote for the party that grabs guns....obviously violating your rights is less important than the goodies the left promises.

Friend, when someone such as C runs off at the mouth as much as he had done for the last few years about the ills of firearms and knows almost nothing about them, I feel free to express what he is laying between the lines. As for you, please tell me what your experience with firearms has been. I have used them for 61 years, not one of mine have ever shot anyone. I was a reserve police officer for 3 years, served in the Armed of America and you think you know more about what is or isn't right with weapons?? I have sat and watched your beloved liberal politicians try to slowly undermine the 2nd Amendment since 1968.

For the most part, but NOT always, but they DID shot those that they disagreed with

How did they find out those people were deserving of being shot (from a Democrat point of view)? Did they examine them with enhanced interrogation techniques? Were they trained by the CIA? Which is well-known to be a hotbed of liberalism. Or did they use honey-traps?

Then how about trashing the more than 25,000 gun laws we have and putting into place a few that work???

    - - - Updated - - -

You will have to ask them , now try to dispute the facts of what they did and who and what they were.

And after 238 years in this nation and the RIGHT to own weapons, I'm NOT seeing any evidence of the collapse of this society, have you???

How does the Democrat Party "grab guns"? Last I heard it couldn't even get a law passed to prevent total nutters from getting them.

Ah, but you will say it tried.

Shame on them. All lunatics should have free access to any gun they fancy. It's in the constitution.

Google the history of gun control in California, Massachusetts or NY. You won't find many republicans in that history.

Good grief! Some of your states are sane?

How do you account for that? It's outrageously out of character.

Oh, for crying out load, with more than 24,000 gun laws in this nation, we are NOT "proliferating firearms"!!

    - - - Updated - - -

O.K., dom, please explain how YOU would fix the so called problem in this nation without an increase in crime??

Some might say, why fix it? Let the Yanks happily shoot one another. There are enough of them to take the casualties. Others might say stop lunatics from getting guns.

But, hey, what would I know? I'm from a country with effective gun control where hardly anyone gets shot. And the gun lobby does not promote death.

    Oh, WOW we can see you have REALLY done some research into the matter Letsh, or, then again....;

There are also big regional variations as our interactive map shows. With 1,879 deaths in 2012, California has the highest number of murders anywhere in the US - and perhaps unsurprisingly, the highest number of murders by firearm too (1,304).

and Californa has some of the strictes gun laws

The lowest numbers were recorded in Alabama (1 firearm murder), Vermont (2) and Guam where there were none in 2012.

Gun crime up after stop-and-frisk ruling
The recent ruling against stop-and-frisk has emboldened the city’s pistol-packing perps.

Way to go Liberal Judges, you REALLY help stop crime!!!

    http://www.washingtontimes.com/news...ates-show-scant-linkage-to-gun-laws/?page=all
States’ crime rates show scant linkage to gun laws

President Obama has called for stricter federal gun laws to combat recent shooting rampages, but a review of recent state laws by The Washington Times shows no discernible correlation between stricter rules and lower gun-crime rates in the states.

States that ranked high in terms of making records available to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System also tended to have tighter gun laws — but their gun-crime rates ranged widely. The same was true for states that ranked poorly on disclosure and were deemed to have much less stringent gun-possession laws.

For example, New York, even before it approved the strictest gun-control measures in the country last week, was ranked fourth among the states in strength of gun laws by the Brady Campaign to End Gun Violence, but was also in the top 10 in firearm homicide rates in 2011, according to the FBI.

Meanwhile, North Dakota was near the bottom in its firearm homicide, firearm robbery and firearm assault rates, but also had some of the loosest gun laws and worst compliance with turning over mental health records to the background check system.

OPPPS!!! Maybe you might want to go back and have another look!!

Dang Straight!!! Keep your British nose where it belongs (or what ever nationality you might be). If you ARE from England then you have a higher crime rate than we do, so you might considerate on your criminal element before trying to sick your nose into ours.

The main problem I have with guns is they are too loud, and they make it too easy to kill someone for just crossing your yard past the no trespassing sign.

I prefer to return to pre gun era, where it took much more effort when one wishes to kill someone else, which requires sword, knife, and in many cases a battle axe, since many during that era, were walking around with armor plate or chain mail on all the time.

And it was much easier to determine who started the fight, with all the extra blood and severed body parts laying around. No need for lawyers and trials, just reassembly of dead bodies and then King makes decision. And then you either go completely free, or you are beheaded. Ah the good old days before guns and lawyers.

Who have I voted for that "grabs guns?"

You probably claim to like less spending, yet, vote for republicans that, in fact, increase spending.

And what does this even have to do with my countering of the OP's claim that liberals hate guns?
