stubborn and complete intolerance of any creed, belief, or opinion that differs from one's own.

Seems to fit the bill to me.

Guess what, this isn't going to help you any.

So....what if the "tolerant righties" come back with an even larger group threatening to boycott Firefox unless they reinstate him? Do they have that same right?

BTW, why is it that this guy gets fired for his personal beliefs......which was the exact same belief back then that the Obama's and the Clinton's had? What is it about liberals being so anti-free speech and freedom of personal beliefs? It seems you WILL believe as they believe.....or else you'll be run out of town on a rail. Very anti-Constitutional, to say the least.

That's how it's done....as a courtesy. The choice is: we're going to have to fire you or you can resign, which will look better for you. Which choice would you make? There's your answer.

I find it the absolute height of hypocrisy that liberals are defending this act by this company.....but blasted Hobby Lobby for being able to run THEIR company to coincide with their own religious beliefs. I guess in a liberal's mind.......belief in homosexual marriage trumps religious beliefs.

Wow. So true. It's beginning to look like the nightmare of George Orwell's "1984" is starting to become real life.

PLUS, if we were going to do that....then Obama would need to be fired and removed from office.

Then let's put it to a national vote. I would be willing to live with the results. Would you?

We can't. There's no provision in the Constitution for a nationwide referendum. And even if we could, civil rights should never be subject to a vote. As the multiple court cases currently going through the courts has clearly shown. It's no longer a question of will SSM be legal in all 50 states. Just when.

I'd be fine with that, but there's absolutely nothing to vote on: same-sex marriage is lawful and legal and can no longer be prevented due to bigotry. These are great times.

Civil Rights were voted on in 1961. On your last statements....you're probably right. It will be just like abortion. A slippery slope.

Well, it's a very small percentage of people overall who are gay and who want to marry in the first place. So, it doesn't concern me personally.....just changes the nation forever and IMHO, not for the better. So, what next on the legal scene? Polygamy? Legal marijuana, abortion on every street corner facility, and gay marriages and children created by renting wombs and mixing sperm....so children won't know who their real Moms are, who is the Daddy and who is the Mommy. Confusion by the bucket loads Anything goes. I feel sorry for the future generations.

These experiments, IMHO, will backfire in the future and the nation might wish it had never gone down these roads........

I guess that is why almost everywhere it has ever come up for a vote that people voted in favor of traditional marriage then eh?

Did you bother looking at either chart? Prop 8, for example, was in 2008. Things changed a lot since then. People have come to realize that same-sex marriage is harmless.

    No they haven't.

They've come to realize that expressing an opinion against it is suicide.

Face it. Religious based social conservatism, which ruled our society for FAR too long, is dead. And everything it stands for, from same sex marriage bans, to criminalizing adult sexual behaviors, and ultimately to the war on drugs and other such things, is going to fall into the dustbin of history.

    Freedom. REAL freedom. Imagine that.

    Such a silly comment!
There are plenty of people, including politicians and members of this forum, who are still spewing vitriol and bigotry with "pride!"

Bigots will always exist. . .but reasonable people are gathering around the understanding that homosexuality is NOT a threat to traditional marriage, and that gay rights are as constitutional as any rights. . .and less dangerous than some (especially the "right to bear arms!")

And so it is requiring the SCOTUS to force these issues on the people? That doesn't sound like sanity is dead to me and that sure doesn't sound like freedom...REAL FREEDOM to me. If we had real freedom the people would decide instead of having a fascist faction of society force its agenda.

    Silly comment?

This man donated money to a cause and he had to quit his job.

He now understands that expressing his opinion about homosexuality, even in a private way has led to career suicide.

Does it not bother you that people who are against you are having their lives ruined?

    I realize that's a rhetorical question

Boy....have things been reversed since the days of Joe McCarthy....or what?
"Are you now or have you ever been a member of the Communist party?" Now Democrats and liberals are the Joe McCarthy's of today. They must be so proud......
"Are you now or have you ever been against gay marriage?"

No....because it's not completely harmless. It won't stop with them getting the right to marry. Next.....it will be an attempt to indoctrinate the 99% of the nation and their children that it's all normal. Just wait; you'll see the DEMAND that it be taught in Kindergarten by reading books to the little children about how "normal" it is to have two Daddy's....or two Mommy's. That's already happened. There's already an indoctrination on prime-time tv series.....there's at least one gay couple in virtually every show. OR the entire show is about gay families and just how great it is to be gay.

Yes, but that was also Obama's position at that time so should he be forced to resign? Aren't those that voted for him hypocrites now? BTW, the company does not discriminate. Maher said it best, the Gay Mafia.

Oh, so that is why supreme courts are now overturning those votes eh? LOL
