http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/04/24/obama-administration-had-advance-warning-on-fisker/ Lets see....$192 million of federal taxes, $30 million of Oregon taxes......zip to show for it, except Obama buys more votes from the ignorant masses that pay no taxes anyway.....this nation is spiraling down the tubes. We may as well apply to join the EU.....
http://m.bizjournals.com/kansascity/stories/2010/07/05/daily27.html?page=all&r=full What a loser. Next time invest your own millions Obama. By the way, this trip to the facility was part of a fundraiser. When you pay you get tax money to play with.
Politically, President Obama is forced to work in certain required indirect ways. Often, the ways required by the establishment don't work very well, but that is the best he could do. There are various other possibilities which would work better, if Obama were allowed to use them. For example: 1. Fossil fuel energy could be taxed and the money given to wind and solar power companies. 2. Fossil fuel energy could be taxed. Then the federal government could use the money to build wind and solar facilities, then bundle the facilities into companies, then sell shares of stock the new companies, and recycle that money back into building more wind and solar facilities. An important point is that money spent to stop global warming will: 1. Save at minimum hundreds of millions of lives, and one of those lives could be yours, or a relative of yours, or a friend of yours. Massive floods, massive hurricanes, and tornadoes kill people, and the more there are, the more people will be killed. In addition, the above plus drought destroys crops, reducing food production. In the end, inadequate food will kill people too. Some might die of hunger, but those who are just malnourished will catch diseases more quickly and become sicker, so a number of those will be killed by them. 2. Save the money lost to the gradually increasing yearly damage from global warming. Note that when malnourished people catch more diseases, that will sometimes help pandemics get started, which will make you ill also even at a distance. Spending extra money, from taxes or otherwise, protects you, your relatives, and your friends. It's like spending extra money to buy a bullet proof vest when you are going into an area with a lot of shooting. You would of course save money by not buying the bullet proof vest, but ............... - - - Updated - - - Politically, President Obama is forced to work in certain required indirect ways. They are objectively true. You have a right to your own opinions, of course. For me, at least I don't have to feel guilty about being on the side that kills large numbers of people, including, I won't have to feel guilty when I die, because I tried.
How can predictions be true, objectively or otherwise? As for your guilt being dissipated because you sound a false alarm I just don't get that logic or lack thereof.
what I would like to see more research in is... batteries... these are holding us back I do not think we should "not" try to make a better battery cause we 'might' fail, if we don't try... we definition fail took many failures before we finally made it to the moon, should we have never tried? .
I have a nephew in college at Arizona State involved on a project today on extending the life of a battery.
I think this is good, universities should invest in this field of study as it is one that will benefit us all the more that try the more that will fail, the more they and others will learn from those failures and eventually we will have success .
A prediction can be objective if it is a projection from something that is happening, with understanding of the processes involved. The media is mainly owned by the corporations and for some reason, they haven't been saying that lives are involved. Therefore, it is rational of you to doubt. If one stops to think of it however, hurricanes, floods, and so forth do kill people. However, since the media hasn't been telling people, you may have to mull this over for a few months or even a bit longer. It's not your fault that there is a lot of self-serving propaganda out there.
Well of course, just because I think others should have freedom of speech doesn't mean that I'm not allowed to say anything myself. I will note again that the corporations own the media, and they are reporting what the energy companies want them to report. Thus, a lot of intelligent people are confused.
There is work by researchers on creative thinking which supports what you said. Matson, Jack V. (1990) "Failure as Part of the Success Equation" , JOURNAL OF CREATIVE BEHAVIOR, v.24, n.4, 275-279 Matson, Jack V. (1991) "Failure 101: Rewarding Failure in the Classroom to Stimulate Creative Bahavior", JOURNAL OF CREATIVE BEHAVIOR, v. 25, n.1, 81-83 In those articles, Matson points out that most discoveries have come after a series of failures, so it is highly important for people to not become upset by failure. In fact, failures aren't really complete failures by any means. Rather, for a scientists, each failure provides knowledge that a scientist would not have learned if he or she didn't try the failed experiment. In addition, there is every reason to believe that better batteries are possible. It is only a matter of discovering them. - - - Updated - - - There is work by researchers on creative thinking which supports what you said. Matson, Jack V. Right and you know this. Hah! you're just being silly, very silly. Again, you want something, it's not freedom of speech, that exists today. I want those who don't have proof to stop pushing an agenda. Is that so hard for you to grasp?
