Can Abortion's (culture of death) burden be carried and passed on for generations?

As in all tragedies,There are the primary victims and those who are victimized as the realization of what has truly taken place becomes clearly focused. As there are people who are emotionally, spiritually unaffected (even if only for a time) there are those who burden grows. Are those with a conscience simply weak and frail examples? Yes they have to live with their choices but in their defense society told them that it was OK, what/who you regret and miss was simply, only just a lump of human tissue. It is the dishonesty of those pursuing the financial rewards and the blindness of those who can't see these women and children and fathers as nothing but insignificant players in their movement of "freedom" from responsibility.

Is killing the profit margin and a political agenda the reasons why women not counseled about this lifelong burden or at least the potential of just such an awakening of conscience by the abortion industry and its advocates? Or is it simple ignorance that the power brokers and advocates of this culture could not anticipate?

    Let's talk about having babies:
Is the profit margin and a political agenda the reasons why women not counseled about this lifelong burden or at least the potential of just such an awakening of conscience by industry and its advocates? Or is it simple ignorance that the power brokers and advocates of this culture could anticipated?

    A. Everyone has regrets.... that's part of being human.
Is the solution Big Governemnt stepping in to protect every human from ever having regrets ???? Is it YOUR job? Or my job? NO.

    B. Many people have problems with their emotions....NOT their actions.

    C. Many women are happy and relieved they had an abortion, why do you think ALL women (based on a few cherry picked examples) have problems? Why do you think government should alleviate those problems ...? Or you or I should???

Oh, and not everyone thinks aborted fetuses are really cute cherubs floating around on clouds talking to each other ( HUGE EYEROLL)

Yea! But if it's all the same with you just not with each other :).

    What?

    Good point.

I disagree with this statement. I have done things I regret, I'd bet many, many people have.

What fault do you, FH, find in these women or the voice they've given their experience?

I get your visual assessment but you must remember that their bodies have been horribly abused during the abortion. I think of them as human beings moving through one of the developmental stages of the human life process that all of us continue to do...until natural or sudden death.

We've had 40+ years of Roe now....

and a MAJORITY of Americans agree with that Supreme Court decision and a majority do NOT want abortion made illegal.

BTW, it's difficult to trust "The Blaze"....given its founder is an admitted liar, who even lied to his own supporters...publicly.

Hold your horses Skipper! I would suggest that polls can be tainted and manipulated. We might even find a poll that disputes your claims. If you put faith in polls I would suggest a smidgen as just the right amount.

I agree that you take a man at his word only if you trust him and understand your concern. Do you find the reporting on this article inaccurate or deceptive?

I believe the abortionist can destroy bodies and take life but has no such power over the souls of aborted children.

A mother bares her soul and the anguish of her actions of many years ago and you judge her life story as goofy? What is goofy about a mother and child discussing the child's concerns, especially one as seemingly heartfelt as the concern for another sibling whose life was taken in such a merciless and violent fashion? Have you no sympathy for the child, the mother or the mother's attempt to console her? For an aspiring young cowgirl that's just plain shameful.

It's fine for women to feel regret for their life choices, for their past abortions, for the children they had and could not care for, for putting a baby up for adoption, or whatever. We all have regrets in life.

What is not fine is using your own regrets and remorse as a justification for taking away another person's right to make those same choices in life; to have those same basic Civil Rights.

I think women should freely speak out about the abortions they had that were regretful to them, I think women should speak out about the abortions they had and don't regret too. But I really think we need to look at the bigger picture. Most women who choose abortions do so because of financial instability. They feel they cannot raise or care for a potential child so they choose to abort instead.

So what can we do as a society to help these women so they do not feel forced into having an abortion they do not want? I don't think shaming them for choosing sex is helping, nor shaming them for being single mothers. I think the best way to solve this problem would be to start an organization that helps get these women on their feet, gives them an education, gets them on the road to a stable career that can support them and their child.

Prove there is a soul...but not here , take it to the Religion Forum.

""""A mother bares her soul and the anguish of her actions """"

    Oh, how DRAMAtic!

By "goofy" I was referring to telling a kid that aborted babies are sitting up in the clouds hangin' out waiting for people to show up...that's ridiculous.

Do YOU have sympathy for all the millions of unhappy people in the world? Individually or all together? I have general sympathy but there's too many to feel sympathy for each individual...

And I'm sure if the woman doesn't tell her kid the lie about the "violent, merciless" abortion(it is neither) then some sadistic, nosey busybody will...

Nice idea. Nicely stated. America has a public education system with the goal that citizens will be educated and become contributing and productive members, isn't this what you are talking about?

FH proving or disproving God or a person's soul is truly a challenge of biblical proportions no matter what side you favor...btw do you have a soul?

Your "goofy" description surely does come across as ridiculing and bitter. Obviously you have proven to your satisfaction that people do not have souls?

Do I, can I have sympathy both collectively and individually? Yes and yes for the ones whose story you know of. Realized from a there but for the "Grace of God" perspective.

From the perspective of the life taken it is violent (executed convicted murderers get press time if they don't appear to "go" peacefully) and without mercy (or the child would have been spared).

Sure, but it's not a very good system. I went through public education and it was very poor and did not prepare me for the adult world at all. I think a lot of men and women face poverty because of a lack of education. Not to mention the public school system only teaches up to grade 12 and then after that you must pay your way through college just to have a decent paying job.

I have always wondered why it is that we do not have to pay for an education from the ages of 5-18 but once we leave grade school we must put a ton of money towards an education that will give us a good career and truly prepare us for the adult world. Why not actually prepare us for adulthood in those grades K-12?

Even if college or university cannot or will not be free the least we can do is figure out a system to make it more affordable for people instead of trapping them into ridiculous amounts of debt when it comes to school loans or making them pass up a college/university education because of the daunting debt they would be in. By the way the more education women have the more chances they will have in being able to sustain themselves and potential unexpected pregnancies. Also the more educated women are the less chance they will have unexpected pregnancies to begin with.

and it is failing, not just in America I add.

Take just one part of the education system, one that is directly related to the subject of abortion; sex education .. it is criminal that so many states in the US rely on abstinence only sex education that all the reports show simply does not work. If you want to reduce unintended pregnancies and abortions then give children the tools they need to protect themselves.

6 of the top 10 states with the highest number of teenage pregnancies and births are states with predominantly abstinence sex education only. America is failing its children in these states.

The schools I attended cost my parents and myself from first grade on. My folks had little money but what they had was invested in the family. I think part of the problem with education is it is a political agenda instead of reading, writing and arithmetic. Media, societal activist and politically agendized educators put thoughts in children's mind's eye all to often before it should be.

The saving grace of children are parents who love them. No organization or strategy or law is a credible substitute. If family is the basic building block of society don't you think that is where the answer to society's ill is found?

I agree, the politics need to be removed from education and just leave the kids be. But I do think grades K-12 should be better at preparing them for the adult world than just pretending like it doesn't exist and throwing them into it surprised and bewildered. I would have loved to have had programs that directed me to a practical education that helped me find a practical real world job, you know? Instead of filling kids heads with the idea that they will go to a great and expensive university and get a degree in something that's a waste of time. School should just be more practical in my opinion.

Personally I hate math, but if I could back and do it all over again I would have put my nose to the grindstone when it came to math and sought a career in accounting. Accountants make decent money and good job security. Instead I pursued art and writing. Now I am stuck in retail and unable to have the family I really want because I will never be able to afford it when I can barely afford to care for myself.

No.1 NOBODY (with rare exception) can "afford" a family, thankfully that hasn't stopped parents from having one. No.2 Sounds as if you have a degree, let your desire for education give you direction. Community college is a great and relatively inexpensive place to start. There are financial resources available, look for those. Don't resign yourself to a place you are not satisfied to be in. No piece of paper will, in and of itself, guarantee a job, but it will open doors for interviews. You will be a much more mature student (with numbers) this time around. Keep your job, take evening courses. Don't think of reasons why it can't be done, do it, make the change.

I have often heard the 'nobody can afford a family' argument and I disagree with it wholeheartedly. Many people can afford to have families, a lot of times they just have to cut spending in other areas. For me and my fiance though we cannot cut spending on food, rent and gasoline. We cannot afford a family now as we can barely afford to care for ourselves because at the end of the day those three main things suck up our already minimal paychecks.

I am already 10 grand in debt with school loans. I have no interest in putting myself into anymore debt by seeking more school or choosing a new career path that has no guarantee to work out for me in the end. I made that mistake once already unfortunately.

Hate to get back to the topic but since abortion has been around since about the time pregnancy has been around and most women are doing just fine I'm not worried about any fake "culture of death"....

But what of the women that aren't doing just fine? Isn't that one of the reasons (you undoubtedly support) that are used for and to explain why the life within their wombs must be killed? Seems to be a divided philosophical position, you'll care about the people who care less but no time for those burdened by/with consequences. Just seems to be at philosophical odds. Another FH mystery.

Women, in my opinion, are God's greatest work of earthly art and mystery.

Perhaps. I just know and understand what it is like to be in a position where you want a family but cannot have one. A lot of women find themselves in that position. It's financial struggles that lead women to choose abortions for the most part. Other than that the decision is usually personal reasons (don't want a child now, don't want children ever, baby has severe deformity incompatible with life, etc.)

Your opinion...women are just humans like everyone else...if you think they're mysterious maybe you should get to know some..(???)

Who are these people I .."""care about the people who care less"""....who are they???
