    MOD EDIT - Rule 3

Please. I don't care if the officer IS female. It's -irrational.- MOD EDIT - Rule 3. This scoundrel cop didn't even try a taser. By his own admission he IMMEDIATELY went for lethal force. There was no second guess.

Like I said before, we traded carl weathers for the marlboro marine, MOD EDIT - Rule 3

    MOD EDIT - Rule 3

Are you under the impression no one has ever been beat to death ?

Are you under the impression that tasers or pepper spray have not been enough to detain a suspect in the past?

    - - - Updated - - -

Blah blah, you basically declared a person of my size to be quote "a lumbering giant" worthy of execution by cop in practically any physical altercation.

If that doesn't merit a response on the absolute naivety and bogus nature of your diatribe, then I don't know what does. Blech.

Are you under the impression a taser is more deadly then 7 gunshot wounds?

Coming from someone that was larger than he was, yes, we expect people to shoot us if we get violent. There really is no other way for way larger than normal people. (I was 6'7" 340lbs my junior year in highschool.)

Tazers often don't work on extra large people, or people with a lot of the clothes on.

Mace? Really? Are you trying to (*)(*)(*)(*) him off?

The night-stick? Well there's a good chance that would've gotten taken away from him and used accordingly.

The Firearm? Well, there's one dead thug. (I have no sympathy for criminals nor their apologist.)

Personally, I don't believe it's ever OK to punch someone in the face (Unless I am at Muay Thai class, but that's different.) I also don't believe if someone punches someone in the face they have earned a death sentence, but different strokes for different folks.

Are you under the impression that you can predict accurately the consequences and results of every single action ?

Missed any response to me, just FYI... but before this one gets removed also....

If you believed that, you wouldn't be ranting on and on about how it's wrong.

Do you understand constitutional law? Civil rights?

You never answered my question. Did you oppose/support Ruby Ridge? Did you oppose/support Waco?

These questions are questions of civil rights and liberties, hence why I disagree with police shootings when a suspect is unarmed. The right to life, pursuit of happiness and liberty, the right to property, keep and bear arms, free speech.

It's also a question of police protocol, how and when deadly force is applied. The rules of which have drifted further and further into obscurity, and more into the dimension of statutory assumption, where an officer can use "fear for my life" to justify any instance of lethal force.

It's also a cause to question qualified immunity, and how it impacts civil and criminal proceedings in dealing with our officers who do display wanton application of lethal force.

It's a sore subject for me, and many others, because it also becomes a question of militarization of our police, and the smashing of posse comitatus. How does one differentiate our combat troops in the Iraq War, for example, from a SWAT team doing a house raid? The only differentiating factor, to me, is that the Iraq War soldiers actually had a burden of proof to serve before an army commander could authorize breaking into homes and terrorizing citizens. In the US, the patriot act and other rulings have allowed justices to issue no-knock warrants on the sole premise that the petitioning officer need only issue concern that there is a threat evidence would be destroyed or a criminal may escape. Much less the the military requires.

The DOD has issued hundreds of millions of dollars of surplus Military equipment to our police. This also draws in the question of civil oversight, since we are seeing massive waste and graft in the use of public tax dollars. Instead of fixing roads and bringing bridges to code, we see police officers armed with M16 rifles and APC's designed to withstand IED blasts.

Who's to blame? The protestors, citizens one and all, decrying the police use of force? The Police, using deadly force in circuimstances that would see a normal civilian thrown in jail? The judges, for issuing warrants without real evidence? The government, for arming our police to the point they are basically the military? The citizenry, overall, for accepting this behavior?

I don't know. It's a combination of them all, and when we can sit here and call protestors "thugs" "scum" and everything else, it begs the question - does anyone really give a damn, or is it all just political spin designed to drum up the constituency?

Instead, we see folks who raged about Ruby Ridge mocking the police brutality of peaceful Occupy protestors. Likewise, we see folks outraged at the police brutality of Occupy, laughing about Ruby Ridge.

I've said it before, I'll say it again - it's morally reprehensible, and if we can't discuss at length the full breadth and scope of the issue, it won't ever be solved.

    I didn't see your question.

Maybe it was part of the mass censorship that took place in this thread.
Some off-topic comments get removed, many other off-topic comments don't, so it's hard to predict when responding to people.

Regardless... both of those incidents were before my time. I can't respond based on any real knowledge of them.

Plus your questions are very vague. Support which side of Waco or Ruby Ridge would have been useful info.

Support the federal raids that happened in Waco or ruby ridge. Did you support the raids, or oppose them?

Let's make this simple for the thug defending leftists, shoot at a person who is armed (in this case a LEO) expect said armed person to shoot back.

Don't shoot at armed person and you get to live. See how simple it is when basic logic is used?

    Class dismissed folks.

The Protestors are THUGS and the Police are THUGS. Learned behaviour.

Respect ? Why should our youth have any respect for others when every time they turn around the State is disrespecting our rights ? Learned behaviour.

Mod edit,,flounder,,2 It is learned behavior, but learned from their parents and community as a whole, certainly not the police. The reasons this shooting got so much publicity are 1. the press is always looking for something to spin hyper left even if they have to lie outright to make it happen, and 2. this type of sooting is exceptionally rare.

The lies and deception started with photos of Trayvon and Brown when they were some 8 or 9 years younger, and then spiraled out of control from there.

I have heard that about the Branch Davidian raid.... but weren't children at risk in that compound?

I'm not saying setting the thing on fire was the reasonable thing to do, though ;)
