So.... let's get this straight: After 6 years of blocking Obama, Bill suggests the GOP improve the lives of Americans by leaving Obamacare alone, raising the minimum wage, and leaving social issues to the states? Why didn't I see that coming?
Bill O'Reilly likes to kiss the a$$ of the current POTUS, it's gotten him one interview already, now he's aiming for another one. The American people did NOT elect the GOP in a nationwide landslide to go pat Obama on the back and "work" with the Democrats who have been running the US into the ground. If we wanted them to "end the gridlock" and "work together" we would of send a majority of Democrats to "work together" and allow Obama to do whatever he wants. Why is that so difficult for people and the majority of the media to understand?
The first minute+ was pretty good, but when he was ticking off the ways to improve wages and salaries, it was the same, tired "give more tax cuts to the wealthy so they can create jobs" (trickle down economics) crap we've been hearing from Republicans for decades. Didn't work before, won't work in the future.
I find it disturbing when people start basing their Political Ideology upon what some TALK HEAD say's or what some RADIO TALK SHOW HOST say's.....well that really shows me how maliable and uninformed a lot of people are. AboveAlpha
Not really since Dems don't depend on Fox news and the right wing noise machine to shape their views.
Yes.....Millions of Conservatives watch and listen to such shows but Millions of Dem's watch MSNBC and have their own media Talking Heads. AboveAlpha
except we keep being told that no one watches MSNBC. Most conservatives on this board and many more repeat the debunked nonsense of the right wing noise machine ad nauseum and that is how they vote. Tuesday night was more a referendum on stupidity than the President. If the Dems were running on the record of the President and lost then we have to ask what the hell do the voters want? 58 months of job growth. Unemployment under 6% Stock Market through the roof. Manufacturing at an all-time high in the last 50 years Fewer military directly in harms way The bottom line is that this is what happens when many feel there is no reason to vote and the ginned up sheep of the right wing noise machine vote for the candidate that their shepherds tell them to vote for.
There is no comparison between the numbers of Fox viewers and those who watch MSNBC. Plus, there is nothing the left comparable to the right wing noise machine.
Between the Sunday morning talk shows, and late night comedians plus John Stewart and Bill Maher dominating so called news/journalism not to mention directing young skulls full of much, I'd say the left has most of the media on lock down. I'm not even mentioning Hollywood and pop culture that are so far left they can't stand straight. So spare me the BS "right wing noise machine" excuse and take a look in the mirror and see the problem.
Who gives a flying (*)(*)(*)(*) what an opinionated TV chat show talking head thinks? Is he important to anyone but himself?
Hmmm, seems to me the only one blocking anything was the Democrat controlled Senate. Now Obama is blaming Reid for the big loss and Reid is blaming Obama. Democrats eat their own.
The numbers don't agree because MSNBC's ratings are garbage. And left leaning talk radio is non existent. It is right wingers who enjoy getting their information from authority figures.
You can say that, but the ratings for MSNBC and left leaning programs are nothing compared to the right. Why did Air America fail ? Why is MSNBC's ratings below 100,000 ? Fox News and talk radio reaches about 25 million a day.
Because rather than the overt political and ideological propagandizing in the form of lies and spin practiced by MSNBC and other traditional Left of Center dominated media NEWS outlets people tend to prefer the more gently persistent low key approach utilized by: " . . . Hollywood and pop culture that are so far left they can't stand straight." So it does not matter what official leftist news outlets go belly up since most of everything else one encounters by way of sitcoms and 'interest' shows are distinctly Left-tilted in perspective. So no matter what people still get their mandatory daily doses of Slant-Left. Nice!
Name one evening show on Fox News that is not overtly political and ideologically propagandizing. Name one talk radio host who is not. The whole idea of conservative media is based on authority figures handing down opinions to legions of listeners. Don't sit here and try to sugar coat that. Fact is, nothing you said above is explaining why MSNBC failed and why there is no significant left leaning talk radio.
If Republicans "blocked" Obama for 6 years then, for example, how did Obamacare get passed? It is unreal how the left still tells lies even after the American people don't believe them anymore. I have to say it isn't a bad plan. The America hating left wing democrats are destroying themselves by telling lies that voters do not believe. How is it working for ya?. Keep it up dems....see you in 2016! Hahahaha!
This is precicely why I didn't mention MSNBC vs FNC or any other cable national networks. The point is that it's undeniable that progressive liberalism is embedded in the mainstream media that the majority of the country's uninformed public watch. Those who claim to hate politics and want nothing to do with it are subjected to the liberals media machine on a daily/nightly basis without even realizing how much politics is infecting their skulls full of mush.
Worked after the 1996 tax cuts and worked after the Bush tax cuts went into effect why are you in denial? When did tax rate increases help anybody? When did "trickle up" work? And BTW "trickle down" is a made up term the left uses originated by Harry Truman. It's called "supply side" and it doesn't trickle anything down, it enables wealth building at the bottom by insuring capital is invested in business and economic expansion. - - - Updated - - - As opposed to what?
Did O'Reilly also suggest the federal gov't fund a study to determine what causes the tides to come in and to come out?
What Bill O'Reilly is saying is this: throw the tea party under the bus. If you look at all of his points, they do make some sense. The real question is the details.. for instance, Bill is advocating broad based tax cuts for everyone, like what Reagan and Bush Jr did. This will cause a surge in deficit spending and to keep spending the same. That idea world help all Americans, some more than others.
