Yet we are being told by the media that we should feel empathy for them because they are oppressed.
The MSM is always first to claim that African Americans are arrested and incarcerated at a much higher than whites, but they never admit that blacks commit these violent crimes at 7-8 times more than other races.

Even the recent rioting, looting and private property destruction in Ferguson fell on empathetic ears of the left.

Why do you think there is so much black crime and unemployment in urban areas throughout the country and who's really to blame.

I also believe that the media and the whole entertainment industry that glorifies thug behavior bears responsibility as well.

Here in my city, the VAST majority of murders, shootings, theft,....etc... take place in certain areas and are committed by the people that live there against the people that live there. these are predominantly black areas of population. Yesterday a 16 yr. old black girl was shot 7 times and killed by a black man for reasons unknown, another little black bot was shot and is in critical condition....this is relatively common and gets nothing more than a sentence and picture in the media, probably because it is no longer news, it has become mundane.

If black people wish to complain about their youth dying in violence....I suggest they begin looking in the back yard for solutions.

Maybe so, but the original topic was on the STATISTICS that 13% of the population is black, and they make up over 50% of the crime. It can't HELP your argument to say that rap music doesn't effect it. As I stated, they rap about selling crack and dropping out of school.

There's no evidence that rap music has any effect. First, most rap music isn't about dropping out of school and selling crack. Second, white middle class kids listen to just as much rap. The idea that rap music has anything to do with a high crime rate is as unfounded as when people tried to blame heavy metal/rock/jazz/etc.

I agree with Carter when he said that ending the war on drugs won't get rid of gangs. There's still prostitution, loan sharking, gambling (huge one), car theft/import/export....

Rap music does not make people kill, drop out of school, sell drugs, etc. History is full of people attempting to blame music, books, movies, video games, etc. for people's behaviors. There is no shred of evidence to support these claims.
