Of course you stopped too soon. Here is what Article 1 Section 8 really says:

    The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes, duties, imposts and excises, to pay the debts and provide for the common defense and general welfare of the United States;

So there are only three legitimate reasons. 1) to pay the debts. 2) to provide for the common defense. and 3) to provide for the general welfare of the United States. This means that nearly all of the current taxation is unconstitutional. Now why wouldn't an authoritarian statist want that mentioned?

There is no place for welfare in that list. There is no place for health care in that list. There is no place for most, but not quite all, of the fascistic independent agencies who hound and harass productive citizens in that list.

I would argue that any debt incurred paying for unconstitutional programs is not covered.

We have a Constitution. Not everybody does.

Is 2+2=4 in violation of Constitutional boundaries? Is it a violation of Constitutional bounds to have your own mind? What exactly are the extraordinary heights of legal plunder the authoritarian statist has bequeathed upon us? Why must one be punished for presenting factual information, then be labeled an authoritarian statist? Are you afraid of the truth? Are you afraid of facts?

Now THAT is funny. Providing for the welfare doesn't include welfare. Golly, who knew?

    Here's an absolute for you.

Reality trumps bs liberal progressive science every time.

Look at the record breaking snowfall and temperatures we are having.

The doodly-squat is all you liberals got.

Everything you promote is a scam and all of your news outlets are liars.

You appear to be wholly unfamiliar with the US Constitution. This is why authoritarian statists are such a problem.

You mean like looking out for our welfare in the event a fact presents itself to us that directly affects our general welfare right? You know like providing us with an EPA that insures we have safe drinking water in the event there is a problem with our water right? You mean that kind of general welfare?

We'll at least we all know you know absolutely nothing about global warming. Come back and play when you've educated yourself.

In his view it is your money that is insignificant. He wants you to hand it over anyway. Authoritarian statists are like that.

Defense is one of very few Constitutional imperatives. Falling for your political scam is not covered. Sorry about that.

This amuses me. It is not entirely clear you have more than a passing familiarity with the Constitution.

In the 70's it was the coming ice age.

Now we have global warming with record breaking

snowfalls and record breaking low temperatures.

That's all anyone with common sense needs to know.

Education is great, but it's wasted on fools.

Now with common sense and education,

you know what time of day it is.

This is proof positive that you have no real understanding of the Constitution. General welfare does not mean giving individual's things. But you do not comprehend that do you? You lack even the most basic understanding of the Constitution. Health care, social security, Medicare, "and such" are unconstitutional perversions.

If you actually knew anything about the Constitution you would have known it.

Yes. An agency with limited powers to provide for the general welfare would be Constitutional. However, that is not what the EPA is. It writes its own laws, it enforces the laws it writes. It is tyrannical for that very reason. If the Congress wrote the regulations and the EPA did nothing more than narrowly enforce the laws written by Congress, and if the perps were tried by courts within the judicial system it could be a Constitutional entity.

I know that anyone with common sense would have looked up the definition of Global Warming before using common sense as the foundation for their argument. What a joke. Educate yourself and watch the video if nothing else. It's embarrassing ; http://www.nwf.org/Wildlife/Threats...s-Causing-Extreme-Weather/Winter-Weather.aspx

    your ignorance is amusing

the supreme court says you don't have a clue what you're talking about

Rogue government isn't necessarily an individual thing. Just because the Constitution has been eroded over time does not mean that the Constitution is toilet paper like liberals think.

Which require facts to do that.
Congress wrote the regulations? :roflol: When all of a sudden did the Congress become experts in water purification? This is hilarious as usual. You never disappoint that's for sure. Next thing you know Congress( otherwise known as the Koch Congress), lol, will determine who is qualified to be a scientist and who isn't. So, while Congress is being bought out by the Kochs, we'll have Constitutional amendments flying around like flies on a rotten fish head dictating how an individual in a thinking capacity can think. That way Congress can tame those folks with a brain and a few facts from becoming authoritarian statists. What a joke.

I'm just tankful that the next time I walk by a magazine rack and see a magazine about NASA and one about pink elephants, I won't have to stand there and think about which one I'm going to pick up.
