Their OWN Charter shut them down. Freedom of speech does not mean there isn't consequences of that speech. Can I call my boss an (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*) and NOT be fired?

Give up. They don't get it. They never will. Our right-wingers think there should never be any consequences for anything.

It was wrong to pressure them into shutting the Frat house down because of political correctness.

Nope, enough people know what is included in some rap lyrics, and I believe in the freedom of speech just as I feel a private organization and people have the right to add their say to what was said.

I have no idea because I haven't even read about it; but being a law and order type of person if they violated campus rules to the extent that legally their charter could be revoked (or whatever is done) then I am in full support of that decision by the college administrators but only IF they are not turning a blind eye to violations elsewhere that happen to be in Politically Correct alignment with the Left. You see I believe in applying the rules evenhandedly, which is a principle that for some odd reason an increasing number of people Left of Center consider to be ideological anathema. That double-standard has always puzzled me.

Nope, the University has the right to set guidelines and it is their right to say the Frat is history. They will get back their right to operate once they have had a time out and some of the leadership changed. If you knew how Frats operate you would know this.

Yes, the charter can do what it wishes. But for the president of the U to be blabbing on TV like he is now and everyone to be hooting about how wrong the students were is just plain WRONG. Even the president of the U is backtracking and saying it was "bad behavior". They can't do a single thing with this. The students are free to chant and sing all they wish.

The charter can do what it wishes. The students can NOT be punished or expelled.

P.S. I deleted a sentence from my original post that was quoted here because I realized it did not come across the way I intended. It made it look like I'm against free speech. Rather than cause confusion, I deleted the entire sentence.

Oh, waaaaaaaaaaaaaa. The goofy president (Boren) has legal staff looking at this because he doesn't know. He's saying the student who led the chant is "harassing". Huh? Boy, leftie idiots will do anything to make their schtick stick.

If the students on the video replaced the N word with "Christian", lefties would cheer and salute.

I rest my case. Since you won't denounce the behavior, I can only assume you are either indifferent or condone it.

Or, you could go to the OP and actually look at the topic in question and make an informed post.

LOL you think it was wrong of the president of the U of OK to condemn these remarks ? Do you want that college to go through the public relations disaster of allowing this racist frat to continue to exist ?

The spin is amazing, isn't it? You knew this would happen when you posted this, but honestly- did you expect it to be this ridiculous?

I think he should say they're looking into it and then shut the (*)(*)(*)(*) up! I don't know if you're seeing him babble on like I am. He's going on about how he couldn't sleep and couldn't eat after he saw the video.

    It's really quite amusing.

And if a black fraternity or sorority has a party and are playing and dancing to a rap song and yes some singing the lyrics about popping caps at crackers they too should be disbanded and banned from being a university organization?

Depends on what the University rules state, if it is a violation then yes, if not then nope.

Well . . . no; because that -- you see -- would be repressing their culture and using value judgements against them, which would be a hideous PC-based crime!

Same rules as U of OK, same rules these guys are facing. But your unwillingness to condemn racism against whites noted.

So by what you are saying if someone on the bus was just playing a song with the lyrics in it and the people were dancing to it then all would be OK.

Hahahaha! Leftwingers would shut down any college attempting to enforce such a rule and probably demand that the board be brought up on charges of repressing human rights as well as violating -- whoops! -- free speech. Oh my!

All you needed to do was condemn this chant but you don't have it in you. Instead we have to watch while you squirm and try to justify white bigotry but deflecting the topic to supposed black bigotry.

This is really all you do though. You don't offer insight into much anything other than what idiots all liberals are in your opinion. You're like a hate machine and nothing more.

Ok now you are claiming I support something I don't and have stated as much, that means you have nothing else to add to discussion and now want to twist my words and go off discussing whatever fantasies your mind can come up with.
Get back on topic and trying doing so honestly or keep looking like you support the FRAT in their racism, if someone is going to be something they should be so without shame and own up to it.

Using your logic, calling fellow Americans the N word and talking about hanging black Americans is traitorous.

Exactly. Any instance of racism by a black fraternity or sorority would be quickly rationalized by progressives. Only when whites exhibit racism do they get upset about racism. Faux outrage at its most obvious.
