Imagine you are black

That's my point. It's not about skin color, so why why the different results?

 

Unfortunately the government believes otherwise and it helps no one.

Racists who call all blacks animals.

Or liberals who claim that black people are more valuable than white conservatives and whites at all.

And you know what, there is some hypocrisy there.

They want to paint all blacks as being more valuable than a white person. BUUUUUUUUUUUUT........

Most liberals are white.

 

I think it's kind of ridiculous to pretend how we would behave in that situation, because we'd grow up in a completely different situation and have a different set of values. It's easy to say, I'd be more like Dr. Carson or I'd get me an Obamaphone, but nobody knows what they'd do in a different environment. You'd have to make a clone of yourself and only change the skin color, then watch how it interacts with the environment.

 

Again, personally I'm a very conservative/modest dresser. I don't make sexual or political statements with my apparel; I'm an older former military man. I do strongly relate to what you are saying. If I had MY way, every young person would adhere to off-duty military personnel standards of grooming and dress.

So, I'm a bit of an activist about that aspect and approach.

But still, I don't want people sticking with the idea that what's going on superficially is ALL they need to assess... in order to 'judge' someone. That is 'shallow' and leads to many problems apart from what a person looks like.

 

I already told you. It's about 'culture'. Not all people with Black skin come from the same culture. And not all people from the same culture are the same.

If you lean toward oversimplifying what we are all looking at, you are failing to see what you need in order to properly understand the same.

 

One thing that CAN be done, is to start and develop meaningful relationships with people unlike yourself. And ultimately, it isn't so hard when you realize and accept that the differences aren't all that's there; the commonalities are plentiful.

And the greatest mistake that can be made, is to discount one another's 'experiences' as Americans. The stuff that other people have been through may not feel 'weighty' to 'you'... but to the OTHER person (even a fellow American), it surely is.

The basic premise of the thread is empathy. In more scientific terms empathy is regarded as an irreducible inborn capacity, operative from birth, for knowing the inner experience of another person without necessarily perceiving cues from that person about his thoughts or feelings.

The knowledge of another person's thoughts and feelings which can be acquired through empathy is limited.

I try to think beyond the cult of victimhood.

 

No one has experienced as much racism in the 20th century as Jews have and yet they have managed to thrive. Why? Because they don't cut each other down for working hard or studying and acting "to white" nor do they sit around and blame everyone else for their problems. They push their kids to succeed and their kids are the focal point of their attention instead of a little person just hanging around. Having attended uni for a few years I notice a distinct difference between blacks that come from Africa and African Americans. The ones that come from Africa are just superior in every measurable way.

 

If I can retain the intelligence and common sense I have now, I wouldn't be stupid enough to dress and act like a thug if I thought police would target me; I would realize that it's behavior and not skin color that attracts police; I would stop hating my skin color and blaming it for everything that goes wrong in my life; I would work as many minimum wage jobs as I could to be too busy to get in trouble and until I could get a better job.

Black liberals will always have that victim mentality because the liberal media manipulates them and controls them with their 'bigotry of low expectations' and drums it into their minds that if they behave in an intelligent, respectful way, that that's 'acting white'.

I sometimes imagine myself being a white guy born in China. I soon leave and go home to the civilization my people built.

 

When I was in school, I was given an IQ test and my IQ was measured at 128.

 

Then you will be able to notice what the countries with the lowest average IQ scores have in common.

 

The Third Reich established a racial hierarchy that placed the Herrenvolk (or "master race") of the Volksgemeinschaft (or "national community") at the top and ranked Russians, Romani, Serbs, Poles, Blacks and Jews at the bottom.

We really want to "go there" again.

You live in St Louis, MO. I am deeply sorry to hear about that. I went all over that city. 75% of it is like a third world country.

If I were black I would fit in where I live. If you really want to get an honest perspective on this "racism" and you are white then move to a majority black city......it will change your outlook and rid you of the white guilt you are suffering from.

 

You dont even need to move to one. Just drive through any of them and good luck not getting taunted or threatened in any way.

 

So why are whites so special that their poor little feelings can't be hurt?

If whites didn't think of them as animals all the time, then the taunting and insults would be greatly reduced.

But whites never learn.

 

Apparently Asians, Indians, Arabs, Iranians, etc all think of them as animals too since they flock to white neighborhoods and AWAY from Obama's sons areas of residence.

 

What does this have to do with regional IQ scores?

 

I have been considering lately if a "chicken or egg" situation does not exist in the way of race relations and how each one views the other. It seems to boil down to that in some aspects. Of course I am referring to "which came first the chicken or the egg?" Are blacks the way they are because they are oppressed or are they oppressed because of the way they are?

 

In Italy? I see every morning young black teens going to High School near where I work and both male and female have got a certain social success.

As for I can observe, here it's more difficult for a black immigrant to integrate than to grow up as a black Italian [Italians tend to become used to the persons who live with them since they are very young, but we still show a certain mistrust towards "aliens", as you say in America].

 

Why can't it be both?

You see, that's really the crux of the problem. They are treated as animals so they treat themselves as animals.Nothing ever changes.

But it did begin with the slave trade in the sixteenth century, at least I personally believe. That was really the first exposure of blacks to whites and vice versa.
