It's very ironic to blame Communists(which fall of Russian empire due to WW1 also helped bring them to power in Russia) for WW2, with Stalin signing non aggressive pact(that divided up Poland between the two and allowed for annexation of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania by Stalin) with Hitler in 1939. Stalin's winter war with Finland which he tried to annex parts of Finland(which he did after during war Finnish army humiliated Soviet army) is one of the reasons Hitler invaded Soviet Union in 1941. Communists while some of them were Jews like Trotsky did persecute Jews(Stalin shortly before he died reportedly was planning on deporting all Jews to Siberia) since religion is forbidden under communism with Lenin calling it opium of the masses. Mass murderers of history include Hitler,Stalin, Mao Zedong, Pol Pot, Lenin etc. History's two most bloodies wars WW1 and WW2 was fought for the most part between Christian(WW1 did include Ottoman Empire but rest of major combatants were Christian nations, WW2 one of major combatants Japan wasn't Christian but rest of major combatants were) nations.
