    ......

Don't concern yourself with what Huffington Post does or doesn't tell me, you are deep into rationalizing away the amount of racist cops that are killing blacks without any second thought about any repercussions....the cops stick up for their own, as is plainly evident in this article.

No, I was being polite. You made a racist statement and I could not disagree more with it.

Your opening post includes you personal opinion, leading with IMO. Yet, while you're expected to have your opinion respected, you challenge others to keep their opinion out of the conversation. I'll bet you voted for Obama both times (maybe more, if you live in certain precincts). He. a;so, want the opinions of others silenced, and only his heard.

You're a very intolerant tolerant liberal.

And you are deep into rationalizing any wrong doing of those that claim police brutality. You do not seemed concerned about the many people who's lives were at risk during this high speed chase. Do you really think that these two CARED about hurting innocent people? If they killed someone during the chase, but the outcome was the same, would it make a difference to you....or would you still be blaming the cops for chasing these two?

A friend calls it the Kazim Syndrome. "They beat me kazim black". "Life is not fair kazim black". "I was arrested kazim black".

Typical post from Agent, expecting complex thought or civil debate is a waste of time ,And I'm guessing they voted for Obama 6 or 7 times.

I get the sense that Agent_286 is a very angry person. There are successful therapies to overcome that type of condition, but most afflicted are content in their miserable little world.

no, they were guilty of fleeing. Don't get upset when circumstances you elevated and created turn out to accidentally kill you. Choices have consequences.

if that is really what happened, I still do not fault the cops for shooting..... it's an unfortunate circumstance that had their car backfire at a particulary bad time... but all is avoided if they simply pull over initially....

They created a very dangerous situation and the sound of a backfire in that context could absolutely be mistaken by cops, who at the time, still don't know if they are armed or not.

3 black men show up to court today..... choice affects the context of that visit....

Obviously the one on the left is in court for impersonating a cop. The one in the middle is a drug dealer (he can afford a suit). The one on the right is just the janitor.

More whining every time cops don't play nice. You can't even get a conviction, which means you are whining for whining's sake, as if the job of a police officer can be performed in a chaotic and dangerous world with 100% perfection, and it doesn't matter how reasonable that mistake may be, if a cop makes one, he needs to be thrown in prison for the rest of his life. Innocent until proven guilty doesn't apply to these guys when every situation they are in must have a Cinderella outcome.

Predictably, all this comes from the same people who have absolutely no idea what it's like to be on a battlefield yet choose to be armchair quarterbacks micromanaging everything our soldiers do with a 'peace now' sign in one hand and a pair of cuffs in the other.

exactly. Because time and time again, cops are fired, arrested and convicted for crimes (like that SC cop charged with murder for shooting the black guy as he ran off)

they don't want evidence to dictate an investigation, they want any white cop that shoots a black, justified or not, to go to jail.

Al Sharpton probably does not care about either one of those three......unless they can be useful in making him money.

I think you meant to say "the choices you make" instead of "the color of your skin".

Fleeing. Panicking. I'm not seeing much difference when you are Black and all you're guilty of is allowing your car to backfire in front of a police station.

Btw, it doesn't seem all that difficult for the police to take down a license plate number and round up the suspects later when they are not driving 110 through town. Why, I've taken down plate numbers myself and I ain't trained to do it.

In this whole thread, I haven't seen mention of a "tactic" that has been tried in most cities. Cops don't engage in pursuit unless the suspect is fleeing from a serious felony.
It may even be in effect where this happened, but the backfire of the car sounded like a felonious act. The fact that they ran made it look even moreso. If I was there, I may well have thought that they were shooting at the police station. It's not as if that hasn't been a growing problem....

These same whiners are the first to cover for Obama every time he trips over his toungue, trying to tell us what he really ment to say, not what he did say. They want humanity for Obama, but not for LEOs. Typical liberal BS. We shouldn't even entertain these tools.

I'm almost 65, and can't remember the last time I heard a car backfire. When we had carburetors it was commonplace, but with fuel injection, that all but vanished (or maybe I live in a backfire-free bubble:smile:). Does anyone know for sure that it was a backfire, and not gunfire?

Funny....I thought the same thing. Unless the car was really...really old, I don't think you can get a modern car to backfire. Unless maybe if the engine or the computer was damaged. I could be wrong, though.

And Obama, Holder, and Sharpton are leading that charge.

That's why the Justice Dept reviews all these cases anymore. Hoping they can find something they could somehow, someway make stick.
