The majority of illegal immigrants have Hispanic origin and they will surely be happy about voting for the democrats. It seems like democrats have no other choices but using such dirty tricks to be sure about taking power once again. I'm sure that such outcome won't be positive for America in any possible way. You need to deserve your citizenship in the first place. Who knows how many drug traffickers are among those aliens?
If the democrats are doing any long term planning and they really believe illegals will eventually vote for democrats and democrats only, then the next logical step would be to believe they would vote for Latino democrats and not lily white or black democrats. MANY of the Mexicans that I know are not as receptive to blacks as white people are.
I'd like to see the stats where illegal immigrants are interested in voting period. This boogyman the right has created is beyond pathetic. If the GOP wanted to do something about illegal immigration they could have before and even with the NEW GOP congress they continue to skirt the issue. Oh they talk the talk alright, but the GOP does not walk the walk. The GOP doesn't fool anyone but idiots since the GOP likes the cheap labor for their business lobbyists. Here in Reno, there are LINES of "workers" all piled near a street called Galleti way and they aren't looking to vote, they are looking to work. I doubt any GOP or righty has ever talked to an illegal immigrant let alone knows what they actually want to do.
Helluva source. Now then, how's about some solid links to the number of ineligible people who ACTUALLY VOTED and were prosecuted for it? Better yet, how many were convicted? If you do due diligence, you'll find that the number actually convicted could probably be counted on your fingers, or fingers and toes out of hundreds of millions votes cast. I live in an area where lots of illegal immigrants are practically invading. One, who may be legally residing in the US buys or rents a house, and later he rents "spaces" not even rooms, to up to 20 illegal immigrants. I don't mind about their smart way of helping one to another, the problem is their "mentality" as I will explain below. They don't care about the US. Some blocks away from my house, in order to make business because the increasing illegal immigrant population, there is a Mexican restaurant. I don't have any problem with this way to make profit, because it is a legal business. But, here is the problem: their mentality is to set a "Mexican place" wherever they go. So, you can see that they install the Mexican flag over the restaurant or on the street pole. And here you have a problem. It is not right to put a foreign national flag without installing also the US flag in public places, unless that location is an embassy or consulate. Their mentality is not to work for the USA but working for Mexico, working for El Salvador, and so forth. Their children are taught to identify themselves as foreigners even when they were born in the US. You ask them where they come from -because they look foreign- and they will tell you that they are Guatemalans, Salvadorians, Mexicans... so you ask what part of that country, and they say they were born in New Jersey, Texas, etc. So, you ask how is that they are Salvadorians if they were born in New Jersey, and they clear up that "their parents are from El Salvador". The children don't feel proud of saying that they are US Americans. Do you understand this part of the problem with illegal immigrants? They won't vote for the benefit of the country in general, they will vote for whoever supports their illegal entrance into the US, and instead of saying at least "thank you" they will put their foreign national flags at their business, their houses, their cars, as a way to say that from now on, their business, their houses, their cars, and they themselves are not part of America but that parts of America are now foreign land. Their assimilation starts after third or fourth generations, still, the more illegals come, the more parts of America will be considered as foreign land by illegal immigrants. Politicians don't care about this reality, they just want votes.
That's the problem the laws aren't being enforced they aren't being prosecuted. Just like our immigration laws are not broken but are just not being enforced. The Democrat State Attorney General didn't prosecute one of the non citizens who voted, not one.
Make them legal like the government does with Cubans, Israelis, and Russians. Mebbe they might turn Republican like those groups often do.
Maybe you are right. Make them legal and then close the border for new illegals. Only those who have some background should be allowed to live in the US because poor uneducated aliens are not welcomed here.
First off WND? Really? Second, legal us residents can vote, despite the color of their skin. (Amazing how that works right?) Third, if the conservatives would just stop thinking that EVERY Latino in America is here illegally by virtue of being Latino, they might realize that Hispanics actually have a LOT of conservative values, big on family values, very christian, hard working, but they don't vote Republican because conservatives keep giving them the middle finger and neo nazi's like Gestapo Joe, like to round them up en masse regardless if they actually are here illegally or not.
I worked in Silicon Valley when hiring illegals was commonplace. I knew many of them. Their dream was to make a lot of money, send it to Mexico and then go back. They had no inclination to become citizens of the U.S. When Immigration (Then known as the INS) came around, most would get out of town and the ones INS caught would be deported. 1 week later they were all back at work. Now, I bet a lot of them vote for Democrats because of their platform of easing illegal immigration restrictions.
