Sean Hannity explained Tuesday night to a McKinney witness that Officer Eric Casebolt, who has since resigned, pulled his firearm after being provoked.

“If you’re asking for somebody’s career to be over, I think it’s important we see the facts here,” Hannity said. “If you look at the video, what happens is he’s trying to do his job and two people come and they are provoking the officer. That’s obviously on the tape.”

Again, in case you might have missed it.....Sean is telling a WITNESS what "really happened" at McKinney.

And yes, naturally, we will have people who think Rush's youthful ward, the Boy Blunder, "knows better" what happened than people who....were actually there.

    :)

So the witness is more accurate than the video?

Aren't we told that all the time when we see a video of an officer pummeling in the face of a handcuffed man?

The video doesn't tell the story. . .the cop 'tells the story'.

Assaulting a police officer is provocation. That was his only point. That being said, Hannity and his guests agreed that the officer was out of control and wrong in drawing his weapon.

Without taking sides here, weren't there witnesses who lied about the Michael Brown incident. Witnesses are people, people lie you know?

What does that have to do with Hannity trying to be a witness, when he wasn't there?

    Who assaulted the police officer?

    - - - Updated - - -

    1. Yes....Sean has upped his pandering to the racists and Islamophobes over the past year since Roger Ailes took his 9pm time-slot and gave it to Megyn Kelly.

    2. Not as many....Hannity is on average the lowest rated of Fox's evening line-up....and per #1, is probably nervous about being replaced by a woman like Kelly.

A couple of points. First, the officer wasn't assaulted. Those boys didn't touch him. Secondly, he was assaulting a 14 year old girl. And prior to that he was cursing at other children. Clearly the officer was not acting in a professional manner. Two of his fellow officers came immediately as he pulled his gun and tried to refrain him. His commander said "I had 12 officers in the field that day, and one was acting outside of his training".

Can you imagine, being replaced by Kelly? But then again, if they replace "him", are they really replacing someone?

Perhaps, perhaps not. Lot's of people were out of control. Not just the cop. I would say that approaching him from behind was inadvisable. It had the appearance that they intended to assault him from behind. That is why he pulled his firearm.

That doesn't mean the officer wasn't afraid.

Not that an assault took place, but the officer felt threatened by the boy making an aggressive move behind him.

I don't disagree with any of that.

I think the kids were more afraid of the cop then the reverse

being afraid of kids doesn't give a cop the right to throw f-words at them, be an adult, be the professional.... be a cop

Hannity is an arse, and anyone who listens to him is a complete idiot. Period.

Casebolt will likely announce his campaign for presidency on Hannity's show. Casebolt has truly captured the hearts and minds of the right wing base with his brave and heroic actions under extreme danger from that bathing suited 14 year old girl.

Without taking sides here, hasn't Sean Hannity been caught lying numerous times? TV hosts are people, people lie you know?

Heh, if you didn't want to take sides, and want to discredit people on the basis that "people lie," you should probably not single out witnesses on a specific incident.

Don't be afraid to take sides if that's what you want to do, especially on the internet protected by anonymity.

The left claims they can tell the cop was racist from the short clip.

Right, but the police always tell the truth.

    - - - Updated - - -

Hmmm, aren't the police there to maintain control? So if you saw that happening to your 14yr old sister, cousin, daughter how would you react?

I wouldn't attack an armed police officer from behind. I already acknowledged the officer was out of control. But so was the entire crowd. That kid in the shirt is not their to maintain control. What was he going to do? Attack the police officer? He too shouldn't have been there. They were telling people to leave. That girl left twice and came back. She should have obeyed the officers order to leave instead of causing trouble. Blame the people who were trespassing, vandalizing and attacking the residence and the security guards. This melee is their fault.

Oh, and the violence that the protests marches in the neighborhood have brought is just adding fuel to the fire. Violence will bring more violence. The officer resigned. The professional agitators should give it a rest before someone does get killed.

That is why I said the Officer is there to maintain control, but if he is out of control how can he do that?

So that was the only way to handle the situation was by throwing a 14yr old girl in a bathing suit to the ground.
