That's all rumor. They don't release salary info for upcoming seasons.

if Jon Snow is actually dead for good, I don't like the show as much.

Yeah, there aren't many characters left that are worth rooting for. I don't give a flip about the dragon lady. The only hope is that the remaining Stark children find each other and somehow get the rest of the North behind them.

I guess the moral of Game of Thrones is: don't do the right thing, don't be honorable.

I saw that coming too but I didn't think he'd succeed.

They interviewed Kit Harrington about the finale and he was told (paraphrasing) "Jon Snow's dead, that's it, you're done". He's not coming back.

Jon Snow may be dead, but Kit Harrington may come back as a new entity. :)

I think the show is in serious danger of losing some of its fanbase. The latter part of this season was incredibly ugly to watch, even by the standards set by this show in previous seasons. There's a real danger that their obvious urge to push the limit is going to alienate some viewers, who may not care now that the most likable of the major characters is now, presumably, gone for good.

My bet as well.. You've got the lack of Lord of Light Rezzing which occured in the books (lady steelheart or whatever.) plus stannis now being crispy critters plus melisandre showing back up right as JSnow is about to die in the next scene.
She's going to Rez jon snow and he's going to go all "I know what you did last summer" all over those ungreatful little (*)(*)(*)(*)s.

You should thank the lord of light.

But yeah, I'd read that Harrington was under contract for season six, so he's going to be resurrected one way or the other.

Who are the horsemen surrounding Danereys? they can't be Dothraki as they are across the Shallow Sea, yet she seems to know them, as she removes the ring Khal Drogo gave her and so apparently is aware the ring would not help her

They are Dothraki. They are lead by Khal Jhaqo, who was an old friend of Khal Drogo. My personal guess on this is that the Dothraki will try to kill Dany for what she did to Drogo, but then notice the giant dragon she has at her back. They will then bow before here, take her to that capital city of theirs who's name I forget, and make her the "rider that mounts the world" seeing as how she can ride a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing dragon. Thus adding the Dothraki to Danereys's army. Which will finally give her the confidences she needs to begin her march on westeros. Least that's my personal opinion. More likely she'll just get raped and murdered :(

Yeah I think that interview where he claimed he was "done, gone" was all staged to try and cover up the leak of the contracts for season 6. They were pretty pissed about that.

Martin let out an outline of the whole story once. He has changed it quite radically since then but he did say that certain people would survive the entire story, and Daenarys was one. However so was Ned Stark, (I think).

One of the things that I notice is that Martin has not populated Westeros very heavily. The Unsullied are considered a huge force and are only 8000, and yes, they are a very elite force but not invincible. There is also a description in the first season of the 40,000 Dothraki as being more than all the armies of Westeros combined. It seems odd to me that Martin would be so faithful to the scantily populated real state of the medieval world. (Charlemagne's greatest battle had only 9000 people on both sides) when he didn't have to.

Finally, what has Daenarys done to Drogo? She didn't kill him, (except as a mercy) and remains very much in love with him to all appearances. (And there is a good deal of indication that Drogo and his child survive, if only as ghosts, this ia an interesting story line as well.)

I don't think Snow was the most likable. The most likable are Tyrion, followed closely by Daenarys and then Varys. Jon Snow was too much like his father and ended the same way for much the same reason

I can't believe anyone supported Stannis in the first place. He's been in league with the devil since the beginning. It was good to see nearly everyone desert him, yet his stubborn ego compel him to still make a fool's attack.

As for Jon Snow, yeah, of course he'll be rezzed. That was the entire reason that they introduced the concept of the Red God resurrecting people, and made sure we knew that Millisandre knew that. So that the idea could be used in this instance, without it springing up out of nowhere. The Red Witch has nothing else to do BUT that. And Jon Snow's death was necessary for him to be King. When he took the Black, he swore to hold no crowns. But now "his watch has ended".

Iv always wondered why exactly milisandre was in the rive lands in the first place (shouldn't she be by stannis's side) now it looks like that was just used so we, and milisandre could be introduced to the resurrection power. What other purpose could that entire subplot have served? We haven't heard a peep from those 2 since then so it's not looking like it was setting up something for them.

    It makes perfect sense.

    Oh the deceit. :blankstare:

It wasn't Lena Headey but her body double.

    Rebecca Van Cleave

Huh? The Knight's Watch didn't fight for Stannis. The other Crows killed Jon because they felt he betrayed them for helping the Wildlings.
